I bet there will be a DVD out with both nights...not exactly the same...but at least its a way to experience both shows without going into debt.

Ticketmaster is like The Hunger Games...except you'll have better success in The Games.
"Let the odds be ever in your favor"

Please save us from Coldplay
Thanks for stating that so I didn't have to.
-
I'm fairly certain that all the shows sold out, hence the extra dates that have been added to nearly all cities.
-
It would be interesting to see how many tickets were allocated for each presale.
-
Had 2 tickets at 12:01 for floor standing and when I was about to confirm it, the system went mad and I couldn't get any tickets. How does live nation want us to buy through pre sale if they have 100 tickets for MSG per show
-
It goes by physical address. Two tickets per address.
-
Wasn't there a tour where the cheap seats were actually closer to the stage? Maybe they are trying for the same thing.
-
I heard that if you have the print off confirmation that could work.
-
It's disgusting...both for the lister and the sap that buys it.

Jkuli6, try emailing them tonight as well. I'm sorry for what happened.
-
Maybe all the 7/23 folks will have to get together for a pint before the show!
-
It doesn't have a message like the version is not compatable with the device? I get that a lot with my Android Tablet.
-
Another thing I want to point out, I was in the Silverchair fan club for years...which also gave access to presales...BUT only for those in Australia. Granted, membership was much lower ($10-$30) a year but I was impressed that U2's fan club is able to extend all the benefits to all their members regardless of the country. U2 could have very well decided only to offer presales to those in Dublin or the European dates.

Oh wow, I think I lucked out with my tickets!

I was having problems with my laptop this morning so I was going to use my tablet but that didn't want to work properly...so finally got on my husband's computer but was still having problems. Was about to have a nervous breakdown so Hubby jumped in and ordered the tickets for me with no problems. He also signed me up for the fan club on Wednesday so I was able to do the presale. I think he deserves a medal for all his hard work this week!

I had to choose the show I'm going to based on my work schedule. I work weird shifts and the Thursday show was the only one that made sense for me...without having to dip into my vacation time. Ah well. I'm sure that by the time of the show I'll have every single U2 song memorized and will have a blast whatever they want to play. Hell, I'd be okay if they performed a round of Row Row Row Your Boat!

I think it's safe to say that there will be a handful of "classics" tossed in the setlist. I think I'll die if they perform "All I Want is You"
That song is one of my favorites!
It was very nearly our wedding song. But then a few weeks before we heard Here, There, Everywhere by The Beatles and it just seemed perfect for us.

That's what happens when you get older...you just can't tour as constantly as you did when you were younger. And hey, at least they are touring...they could have gone the route of The Beatles and decided to just concentrate on putting out studio albums.

Despite all the negativity I am seeing on this particular forum...I am sure there are plenty of people who are excited for the tour. I know I am. I've been a fan of the band since I first listened to ATYCLB but this will be the first opportunity I'm seeing them live and I'm over joyed by the prospect! It's still seven months away but I'm already planning everything out.
Who else is going to the MSG July 23rd show?
-
I don't remember having a chapcha code.
-
Thanks for posting that map Mich40, my husband and I bought tickets for section 113 which was in my price range. I'm just happy to be able to go as this will be my first show even after being a fan since ATYCLB.

My only complaint about this whole process is with Ticketmaster. I never go to concerts, and today's experience reminds me of exactly why. I think I had to get back in queue 5 times because Ticketmaster was acting up. Figures that after my husband realized I was about to lose it and took over...he had no issues.
Excited for the July 23rd Show!
