  1. Great set list but have a feeling the boys will concentrate on the albums before JT so Boy, October, War and Unforgettable Fire songs getting aired again before hitting JT and finishing with 40 !

Hope so but I think it will be a mix of old and new

  2.

If we are going back to 1987...why not have Lone Justice open the tour with Shelter? Do the whole album? It's one of my all time favorites and Maria McKee's name is on the current back issue of Propoganda which is being featured. Am I the only one who knows this band?

If they were going to do an anniversary tour...this is the obvious one. I'd love it if they did TJT and Achtung Baby in two different sets but then the stadiums wouldn't be selling out, now would they? I think Please is one of the most underrated songs of all time. I'd love to see them do Zooropa.

I have a feeling there are surprises ahead which nobody can predict or even conceive. That's what they do best.

As for them not being relevant in music anymore; why were we all so freaked about getting tickets? I disagree. I watch the audiences and there are always more youngsters appearing. One could argue music is not relevant any longer. Nobody pays for it save those of us who think they should get paid for the cds. Tix would not be $300 if all did.

I'm just happy they added a second night in Chicago. I'm gonna nab a GA the day of the show and go see whatever gem they give to the Windy City because it's always something and it's usually Bad. Ever go to a U2 gig and say, "I hope they play Bad tonight.", (rather loudly) and look at all the confused faces listening? Most don't even know the song and I listen to it daily and it's still the song I most want to hear. It's even more fun to be able to say, "They played Bad last night.", and see all the worried faces thinking U2 is gonna suck live the one tour they finally decide to go see them. It's late. I've been writing for 12 hours. Perhaps this will be deleted in the morning.

I was not expecting this tour at first. Once it starts, I think we'll all be happy. Albeit disjointed...that's my take.

Pop is always brought up as Gender did, and I agree, but no matter what they do, it's going to be amazing. I want SOE too.

I'm laughing so hard at your " BAD " jokes...... Hahahaha...... Some of the best U2 jokes I ever heard !!!!!!!

AND.... I want MORE *POP* and SOE !!!!!

    It's simple........

    TJT30? : NO

    SOE : YES.

Something related to *POP* , like releasing rare demos and hardback photo-albums from the era ? : Yes.

As for current business......U2 should have shut themselves up in whichever studio they would have felt more comfortable in and went firing on all 12 cylinders to finish SOE and make it their best album ever........But no...........

Oh and POP POP POP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS : I find plausible the theory that U2 were supposed to release *SOE* in spring 2017 and tour it throughout 2017//2018 and because of whatever reasons they decided to stall SOE's concluding sessions so LiveNation put pressure on them so they *POP*ped out this TJT idea.........To fulfill their obligations with LiveNation so as not to go through what happened with *POP* all over again ( I think u all know)...But I think they should have done JUST that.......Work under pressure until the deadline.........That's what they did with *POP* and that's my favourite U2 album................U2's best work is done in times of pressure, self-doubt and all kinds of sadness and conflict.......I totally agree........

Agree but just can't help but feel its your fault with your 'where in the world is U2?' Thread! If the band stopped posting their selfies on there theyd have got an another album out by now!!☆

☆this is humour ... joking lol

Yes P○p P☆p POP muzik we need more pop! Greatest U2 album ... in the world ...ever!

  3. I hope they don't play anything post Rattle and Hum. But Im expecting the Joshua Tree mixed up with aload of more recent and maybe some brand new songs.

Mmm start with streets or finish with it? Im not bothered, Mothers of the Disappeared can be a great ending if done right. I think alot of the joshua tree tunes will get a revamp to.

Rattle and Hum stuff would fit in there nicely ... van diemans land, desire, angel of harlem, god part II, Hawkmoon 269 ... start with that one and then go into Gloria ... I Will Follow ... Streets and the whole JT album ... then Sunday Bloody Sunday, Bad, New Years Day,11 O'Clock Tick Tock, All I Want is You finishing on 40

  4. Redzone you usually get to stand next to various celebrities if your lucky and thats your thing. Mrs Bono, Noel Gallagher, Bob Geldoff and Chris Martin were graced by my prescence. Dont do the crass selfie thing with them though, theyre justhaving a night out

  5. 2015 redzone didnt include a material gift as such but you got a souvenir ticket in addition to the regular ticket.

I didnt buy a VIP package but you got a very nice souvenir gift book all about U2 live and containing facsimilie tickets/posters/set lists, a souvenir ticket - different to red zone one, also guitar picks/drum head and a real piece of the stage.

Ebay had these for sale and they looked very great

  6. Who cares, U2 are touring, i get to see them again, I love them, 40 years on and still going strong, no complaints, no debate, it's Quite simple, I'm going and I'm going to sing my heart out.

    U2 joy, nothing like it:D

Enjoy it while we still have it

Cool hope you have a great time =0)

  7. "Race Against Time" would be cool too. I liked all the JT b-sides.

Yes they were all fab. Also the album tracks released on various others were grear too like 'Jesus Christ' off a Vision Shared, 'Christmas Baby'off a Very Special Christmas and 'Sweet Fire of Love' and 'Testimony' from Robbie Robertson's album. Theres also a good cover of 'The Sweetest Thing' on the Scrooged OST album by New Voices of Freedom of the same period. Great music happy days.

  8. People sure do have specific ideas of what the band "should" do.  You know what?  They can do whatever the hell feels right to them at the time.  If you're not happy with it, quit your bitching and just stay home.

Dont think fans are bitching here, just kicking around a few ideas, views, opinions.

Heres another quote for you ."Am I bugging you? Didn't mean to bug you. Okay Edge, play the blues!"

  9. I think they should make an exception and play a full band version of "When I Look At the World" at each show. Its sound is classic Joshua Tree in the intro. I always felt it should have been the first track on 'All That You Can't Leave Behind'. Also "Deep In the Heart" should get some genuine live full band version.

Joshua Tree 1987 is where I began and hopefully Joshua Tree tour 2017 is not where I end.

'When I Look At the World' is a great track would love to hear that live. 'Deep in the Heart' is terrific to, 'Race Against Time' maybe as a setlist finale

  10. I am also a fan club member (since 1984) that had to let the membership lapse when things got financially tough for us.  I renewed my membership for the presale and got good seats for Tampa, but not in the Red Zone that I was hoping for.  During the public sale I decided to give it another shot - to my amazement, I ended up with 4 Red Zone tickets!  I'm a little annoyed that, as a fan club member, I was not able to get these tickets during the presale.  Now I need to figure out a way to get rid of my 4 presale tickets while having to deal with this credit card entry system.

Get a duplicate card and give it to the buyer on the pronise they wont spend anything else on it ... =0)
