Sadly, I couldn't bring my Nikon D70s into the arena... But, I did have my ancient little Olympus digital as backup. Good thing, too. We actually got in the circle for this show. Amazing. November 16, 2005: Tampa/St. Pete. What a show. -

Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge; Deleon Springs, Florida. In Volusia county, this was one of my favorite haunts within the interior of Florida. Vast wetlands marked with innumerable bird species and wildlife. And dusk? Always. Magnificent. Always. -
Bard Peak at Portage Lake, on the other end of Turnagain Arm (to the east of Anchorage, Alaska). One of my favorite places to retreat for a little while. Crisp, clean air. -
