Hi All

I just did a search for tickets on presale for London GA, low and behold I got some.

Making sure not to loose them, I payed for membership through the Ticketmaster site.

So far I just got an email confirming ticket purchase.

Will I also be able to get the U2 subscription gift or did i loose out on that.

I got tickets in the presale but I watched the whole office log onto TM at 9 this morning (it was a bizarre sight) and noone get tickets. I really disagree with the 8 tickets per purchase rule. It's too many for one person and clearly limits the number of people who actually got a shot at buying the tickets. if your extended family wants to go, they can get their own tickets.

Totally agree, 8 is way too many. Anyone who wanted 3-4 obviously selected 8 and will sell them on to cover their cost.

It has always been 2 on pre-sale and 4 on the regular sale.

What makes it a bigger problem is a lot of people want to come from abroad and see them in Dublin

I got pre sale tickets, so happy enough even though I will have to sit down. 

There is a place outside Dublin.

It's called Ireland, and there are several nice stadiums and some nice people too.

Sorry I know I have just upset half of Ireland and they will all be on to Joe Duffy if U2 even considered such a thing.

Queueing for U2 just means turning up a few hours beforehand, Bruce Springsteen, now that's a different story, the queue starts a month beforehand.

Loads of second dates been added on the tours page (London, Paris, Rome etc)

Nothing for Dublin yet, don't know why. Maybe the Garth Brooks haters are complaining

But from looking at the above, it looks like i don't need to bring my credit card, the only mention of credit card is that it is the same size

From what i understood, the collector ticket is just a souvenir. 

I only realised half way through the purchase, but i think that is all it is.

I am expecting to get 4 regular paper tickets and 4 laminates (collector tickets)

I hope i am correct as i don't want to take laminates into the gig with me

on the last tour i went 2 nights in a row and took a 3hr bus ride home and 3hrs back the following morning just to avoid hotel prices.

If you are a tourist. I would well recommend taking the bus multiple times back and forth overnight to Cork or Belfast just to avoid the mad crazy hotel prices.

I accidently purchased the collector tickets (as may others did i think).I didn't want to risk the back button, not too bothered about that.

Just wondering, do i get the regular ticket and the collector ticket at the same time in the post.

If i do get them both, can I leave the collector ticket at home and get in with the old fashioned paper ticket (i don't want to loose the collector ticket at the gig)

Or, are non subscribers allowed a bigger allocation (since they can buy 8) and my presale only allowed 4 on my card

oh yeah, pitch 1 are now available, 1 hour and 40 minutes after they not being available.

if i wait longer there may be pitch 2 tickets

if i wait even longer bono will invite me onstage in exchange for an unused subscription code.

Couldn't agree more.

There is no longer any advantage in joining the fan club since.

1. I was forced to buy seated tickets, since i believe that there were no tickets for pitch 1 or pitch 2 today. If i decided not to take the nosebleed seated tickets, then I may end up with no tickets next Monday.

2. I had the option to join the fan club at the same time as buying tickets, so i could just have joined today and if i couldn't get tickets, then don't bother joining

3. When tickets go on sale on Monday, people have the option to get 8 tickets and for pitch 1 or 2. Whereas according to Ticketmaster rules, i have already purchased and if i purchase again I risk having one or both purchases cancelled.

4. There will almost certainly be a second date announced on Monday, people who are not fan club members will have access to buy tickets for any extra dates at the same time as everyone else.

Meanwhile have a look at seatwave, and this is just the pitch 2 tickets. How has one seller got or expecting to get 10 tickets.

I will not be renewing my subscription, since U2/Ticketmaster are trying to move subscribers further away from the band at each tour.

No pitch 1 or 2 today.

Really annoyed, what's the point on this subscription nonsense.

I should not have bothered joining, since I had an option to join through ticketmaster this morning and if i didn't like the tickets i was offered then not bother joining.

Instead I joined and ended up with nosebleed seated tickets

Thanks for the reply on splitting pre-sale code. I don't think i will do it though, I just don't trust computer systems.

Regarding ticket limits, this is the quote from the Ticketmaster event page. The same statement is on each event, so it depends on your interpretation of the english language i guess
