  1. I love the 1st half of the show. It all flows fluidly. The new arrangement of SBS revived it for me. I'd love to see Tommorow shoved into the Dublin set. As far as act two, Invisible is cool but please no more MW, Elevation, Desire, AOH. It's time to bring back some of the back catalog. Discoteque and Lemon would be awesome. I can't belive I'm going to say this but Streets is completly anti climatic on this tour and it's my favorite live song. It needs a better buildup. Finally, if Bono doesn't give WOWY the respect it desreves then it's time to retire it. That song is hit or miss from night to night. The encores need some changing as well. The Troubles would be great before 40. I'd love to see A Sort Of Homecoming, Bad, The Troubles, 40 close the show. Ultraviolet opening act two would be awesome.

  2. I was at night 1&2. First, a big thank you to U2.com. I am a subscriber and the tickets that were set aside for us were just amazing! Night one I was on the rail on Adams side and I've never had better seats for a show. Night two, we were a section over towards the side of the stage and 12 rows back. Still great seats. The band was amazing. The new material is very strong and Gloria,October, and Electric Co sounded fresh. My only gripe is Bono's rant after BTBS. My wife is current NYPD, I am former law enforcement and it really hurts to see Bono saying "Hands up, Don't shoot", particularly because it's been proven that it never happened. If Bono wants to champion police brutality, thats cool, just make sure it's based on something factual. Two uniformed NYPD officers below us on the side of the stage night one actually walked out. In any case, we still had an amazing time. I've now seen the lads 8 times since the Elevation tour and four times on I&E. Thanks again to U2.com for the amazing seats.

  3. Not sure if this is the right thread, but I am still trying to work through the Ticketmaster issue that impacted many of us at the Chicago show - the flipped seating chart.

I bought my tickets ~7 months before the show and was very happy with them. When I went to grab them prior to the show, I suddenly saw the 'limited view' language, but thought it must have been a computer mistake. When I got to my seats, I couldn't believe I was suddenly behind the stage instead of facing it from the front. No warning, no notice, no reassessing the value of the ticket. I honestly can't believe they could do that and that no one has taken any responsibility as far as I've been able to see. I read some threads the days after the show, and people said they would call TM, United Center, and others...but everyone just pointed fingers at the other party. The only positive stories anyone had was if you heard about the issue before the concert and asked for new tickets at the box office the day of the show.

How can someone sell a ticket at a certain price and then completely change the seat - by a lot - without any recourse or option for the buyer to get a refund/reissue ahead of time? Can't they at least offer a partial refund since the value (of sitting behind the stage) was much lower to myself and others?? Again, having bought these tickets 7 months prior and the day they went on sale.

Had there been anything done to address this mix up by any party?

    Thanks!

Same situation with me in Boston 2. I was supposed to be in front of the innocence stage, instead I found myself behind the main stage. I still had a great time but I would of well been within my rights to complain.

  4. There is massive scientific evidence/research going back decades that clearly establishes major biases against blacks in the US criminal justice system at all levels. Whether a particular case (e.g., the Michael Brown situation) turns out to be due to excessive police action or not matters a great deal in each individual situation, but overall there is no reasonable dispute on the broader issue. In particular, the upshot of any individual case has no real bearing on the overall, clearly biased situation--although, unfortunately, such cases are often treated as if they did. Also, the relevant evidence/research, among other things, adjusts for the very different percentages of whites/blacks/etc. in the general population. Without such adjustments, raw numbers are meaningless.

In my experience I don't find that there are major police biases against blacks specifically. I think that the honest truth is that blacks have more interactions with the police because of the higher crime rate within black communities. Higher interactions results in higher negative interactions. Most people are so concerned with appearing racist that they don't want to acknowlege the high crime rate within the black community. Thats not to say that there aren't white communites with higher crime rates, it just sems that most high crime areas do have a large amount of African Americans residing in them. Thats not something I just made up, once again it can be proven statistically.

  5. Justice dept stats say otherwise. Those stats show that there is NOT an epidemic of police brutality. The only outlet that is claiming this to be an epidemic is the liberal media, citing a handful of cases. A HANDFUL. The police had close to a million interactions with the US public last year, and less than a few hundred resulted in perps being shot. Those are FACTS from the US Justice Department. In fact, stats prove that more whites are killed in the US by police than blacks. In any case, I'm not here to debate every example of alledged police brutality. I'm specifically citing the Michael Brown/Hands Up Dont Shoot. The FACTS of that case show that Brown viciously attacked a police officer. The FACTS show that his hands were never up. I can't help those who choose to be ignorant to the FACTS. I'm not going to respond to this thread any longer and I'm not going to entertain what about this cop and what about that cop. Once again, I'm specifically refering to Bono's false narrative of Hands Up Dont Shoot. He should be ashamed of himself. Remember that the sheep always hate the sheep dog, that is until the wolves show up!

So before you call my statements nonsense, know that they are based on fact provided by the US Justice Department. I challenge you to provide facts that back up your claim that there is an epidemic of police brutality.

  6. I'm a massive U2 fan but if Bono continues with this "hands up don't shoot" nonsense, I'll be selling all my tickets to the 4 shows I was planning on attending. Coming from a long line of law enforcement in my family, both current and retired, I find this particularly offensive. Especially since this "hands up, don't shoot" was proven to be a total fabrication. Michael Brown viciously attacked Officer Darren Wilson. This was substantiated by FACTS and FORENSIC SCIENCE. I'm greatly disappointed that Bono, who I truly admire, would put aside facts and support a false narrative in an attempt to be current and relevant. If this continues, I'll be done with the greatest rock band in history. Bono is entitled to his opinions as am I. Please know the facts before you choose to blindly follow a cause. It's a sad day when political redirect gets in the way of the truth.

  7. What greatly frustrates me is that there are plenty on TM resale site. WTF? Real U2 fans get there tickets cancelled but you can buy as many as you want for over face value from them. I'm waiting for my order to be cancelled as well. Bought 4 tiks with 2 presale codes (mine and my wife's). We were so excited to get to see the lads for two shows at MSG. Reading the above posts I'm sure mine will be cancelled shortly.

  8. Hi everyone! I'm not new here, I just don't post much. I've been a U2 fan for about 25 years, a superfan for the last 13 years or so after seeing them live for the 1st time on the Elevation tour. I've seen them a total of 5 times and I'm really looking forward to the new album and tour. I plan on posting on here a bit more as I'm not happy with the direction that my current U2 forum is taking.
