  1. Lots of concerts call GA floors with no seats "Floor Seating." No clue why, but certainly not unique...

Except that it had two different options. One for GA Standing and one for Floor Seating.  It actually differentiated between Standing and Seating, with two different options you could select. That's problematic, IMO. It gives the impression that there are two different sections. I've been going to concerts and using ticketmaster for 20 years too so it can't be because I'm inexperienced or something. I have actually sat on the floor in a seat at the precursor to this stadium, which was Giants Stadium. Of course, most of the time I've stood in GA shows on the floor. Listing it that way though was an unfortunate mistake. What's funny is that now with the new map and everything on the ticketmaster site for that date it says 'no seat' for GA. Others must have complained, and not just me. What's done is done, and someone was able to use my GA seats since they probably got released back into the pool. I will always wonder though if I could have gotten better seats from the presale for the same price other than way up in almost the last row of the third level. Still, I'm happy that I have tickets at all and I'm excited to see them again. :)

  2. I purchased GA tix yesterday and it does show a "Sell" option in my order but that only allows you to sell back to other buyers through Ticketmaster(verified resale tickets).  What I don't like is that most of the resale tickets on Ticketmaster now are above face value.  So I don't see how this credit card entry process prevents scalpers from buying and reselling through Ticketmaster.

Did you click on the option and actually get to the sell page where you choose the amount you want to sell and how many tickets? When I had the GA tickets I clicked it just to see (Ticketmaster sends you a code you need to enter) and once I got to the point where I would enter the selling page it told me that I couldn't sell those tickets. This was during the first couple of days during the presale so I'm not sure if that option wasn't available yet or something. With these concourse tickets I was able to get through to the selling page and choose options...

  3. Just keep in mind that some of the GA labeling can be misleading via Ticketmaster or the venue sites, main thing to keep in mind that GA for U2 is always standing only....I've seen every tour since Elevation, and I have never seen any seats on the floor for GA during any of U2's shows.

Right, but that option called "Floor Seating" should not have been there. This isn't just a mislead with numbering of GA or something. This was an extra clickable button.

I've been to every U2 show since Pop and I know it's usually standing. However, it's very possible that if someone sees that option listed there then one will think that there is something different about this show. For all I knew this was some throwback to the Joshua Tree tour that I didn't know about. For others it could be their first tour experience and they might not know that the tours have been Standing only on the floor. It should not have been an option, IMO. The woman at MetLife tried to give me that excuse too, like "Oh well no seating for U2," like duh as if I should know this. Well I do and I don't. Once I saw that option there I think many people would assume that they had Floor seats. I mean, it was a literal extra radio button that was clickable and listed a price. I have screen grabs. It took them over a day to remove it. Also, what I clicked on did not match what I got in the email. That's where I grew suspicious, so I called. I think they used old cold from another concert that had floor seating. When I called Fan Support yesterday the guy made it sound like there were a few people needing to switch seats for this reason.

OH well, whatever happened, happened, I guess. It's just a bummer.

  4. Just wanted to let you guys know what I ended up doing. I had spoken to someone at MetLife and they were going to try to exchange my seats, but they never called me back. I assume maybe they got locked out of their system once all the presales were over, I don't know. Through email MetLife said they would help us out with accessible seating once we got to the stadium. The lady on the phone seemed to think that it might be difficult the day of because the event was going to sell out.

I also spoke to Ticketmaster who said they could exchange my seats once the general on sale happened. Well that's what I ended up doing. I called them and the man on the phone said that we'd have better luck with regular seats once they went on sale in a couple of minutes, rather than ADA seats since there were fewer of those. So once they went on sale he had some in Section 312. I let go of the GA seats I had (painful to do) and got the once in 312 row 25 because those have seats.

I'm still pretty bummed because I think I probably could have done better during the Red Hill presale if I hadn't seen the "Floor Seating" option that was up there at the time. So I guess I wasted my code. I wonder if I could get another code (or reactivate it) since I didn't actually use those seats from the presale and had to wait for the general on sale? I'm asking in case more shows get added in my vicinity...

  5. I can confirm that I received a similar answer from Ticketmaster over the phone as the original poster did. I was actually going to attempt to talk to them during the venue presale today just to see if I can get a jump ahead of the general on sale, but the person I spoke to (second person. first person was clueless) said to wait for the general on sale.

  6. MetLife just provided me with similar information. Though I know they had to say it was 'pending availability' it still worries me not to know until the day of the show.

I wish everyone trying to get accessible seating luck though. They should make a better effort to accommodate people prior to show date through ticketmaster.

  7. I'd try the venue in the morning or email tonight as suggested above.  While it's certainly not ideal waiting 5+ months, I do know MetLife is fairly accommodating to patrons on accessibility issues on the day of the show.  http://www.metlifestadium.com/guest-services/contact-us

Thanks for sharing your experience with MetLife. They were not being very helpful over the phone, but tomorrow is a new day. Maybe I'll try emailing tonight too. I also tried ticketmaster again and they said they would work with me once the general on sale happens and exchange the tickets for ADA ones... even split up the order if we wanted. I might still try to do that during the venue presale if I don't have luck through the venue earlier in the morning.

  8. If you speak to Ticketmaster and / or stadium and ask for Accesibilty access for your friend with a disability they must provide it, let us know what they say.

Thanks, I'll let you know. I'm going to call the ADA number they gave me this afternoon. I didn't call that one first because it was to purchase tickets I think, and I already have tickets. I'll try it now anyway and see.

Edit: Looks like I was speaking to the ADA person earlier... She wasn't really very helpful. She said she couldn't exchange the seats. I don't know if it's because it's a presale or what, but you'd think it would be easier for them to exchange now with more seats available to them. The only option she was giving me was canceling my order and trying again on another presale or general on sale... and basically saying that I cannot use my Red Hill presale code again. So I wasted it unless they can exchange my seats. It's weird because on their website it sounds like they can exchange seats for you... She just made it sound like it wouldn't be possible because it would sell out. It was just very strange. It's not sold out now. And it's their mistake for having that option listed in the first place. I won't be the only one thinking that there will be some seating on the floor if they list it as an option...

It's after business hours now so I'm out of luck tonight anyway.  If you have any other suggestions I'm all ears. :)

  9. Maybe someone here can help me out?

I used my Red Hill presale code this morning to purchase tickets for NJ that are listed as $70 Floor Seating. My section is GA6, but apparently there are no seats for this show according to the venue. I needed a seat and I would not have chosen that option for Floor Seating if it wasn't there. It is still there as I type as if it is a separate thing from GA Standing Floor but according to MetLife it is not.

I don't know what to do. They are saying that can't switch my tickets to something with a seat. My friend is disabled and has used ADA type things in the past, but I saw there was a seat so figured it should be fine. My friend just needs a seat, but this 'Floor Seating' class of ticket does not come with a seat.

They said they can probably cancel my order if I call by tonight or tomorrow morning the latest. If I cancel they said that I would lose my presale code because it can only be used once. If I cancel then I wasted my presale code and membership.

This is upsetting. It's their mistake and its very misleading. They should be able to do something for me, but no luck. I can cancel and then try for the venue presale tomorrow, but again, I wasted my code.

I wonder if the fan club can help me somehow and generate me a new code? I know it's late in the game now but I was at work and couldn't deal with this much more than I already had until now.

Anyone have any suggestions? I've spoken to Ticketmaster and Metlife Stadium. Thanks.

  10. Since I can't check, did I imagine that there were two different GA options: one for standing room and one for floor seating? I chose the floor seating one and got tix for $70. One person in my party needs to have a seat. I wouldn't have gotten them if they didn't have seats. Anyone still have access to give us a run down of the prices? I've used all of my tickets.

Oops, never mind. If you click on price range now it lists all the different options.

  11. I ended up going incognito to get through. I think I looked at various ticket options maybe 4 times max and it gave me that message. The app wouldn't work either. Instead of clearing cache I went incognito and it worked out. I started out getting GA5 for NJ but after that 20 minute snafu I ended up with GA6. Whatever that means in terms of seating. I haven't been in that stadium for floor seating. Hope it'll be OK.

  12. I know everyone and their mom is asking, but I've never had the chance for GA at a U2 show. If anyone finds themselves with a spare for face value I would be jumping for joy to take it. I know that's a hot commodity though, as is the entire show. I'd also be happy with a seat that has a screen view. I wasn't able to see it from my seat at the show. I'm looking for face value plus fees.

I'm not expecting a miracle but on the off chance someone finds themselves with a spare... I can meet at MSG at 6:45 (which might be too late for you GA folks) or if one of those ticketmaster transfer things is possible I could do that...

    Thanks! :)

  13. I think 202 might be pretty good. I was in 204 and you could see the E stage really well. 204 is on the far end so the screen blocked the middle of the I stage and part of the walkway in between. The section isn't on an angle but dead on so we couldn't see the screen. 202 is more in the corner so hopefully the screen will be at an angle and they'll be able to see it. I took some quick looks in the sections next to 204 and they looked better in terms of screen view.

  14. I see people have been wondering about ticket prices in 102 at MSG. I have a ticket in that section in Section 102. Ticket was at $118.

I also have a ticket in Section 204 BS and that got marked Limited View once it printed out. It didn't give me a warning that I recall before I bought it. That ticket was $88. I used the app to buy that one and I wonder if it would have given me the warning if I used the browser.

The seats I got for my friends are in Section 213  and they say Side Stage. Those tickets were $118.

I did see that 114 said behind the stage and I avoided those, but have wondered since then if that is something left over from regular concert set ups...

  15. Whats up with these ridiculous prices on this re sell thing on Ticketmaster ?  Do people really think they can get that much or do people really pay that ?

I have a hard time understanding how a legit ticket agency can actually do that legally on their website (regardless of who sets the price).  I know its likely related to "if i can beat em, might as well join them"…scalpers that is.

    But still….seriously ?

Yeah, they are offering "platinum" seats that are not reseller tickets in section 102 and 103 (118 dollar seats) for $400-$450.

  16. I'm on 3 different devices trying for 3 different MSG dates, and all of them are spinning and spinning and spinning... WTF, TM?!!

I did pull one GA when I tried Best Avail, but threw it back because I can't hack GA. I'm willing to pay for an actual seat. This shouldn't be so difficult.

Well if someone wants a single actual seat, and gets GA I would take the GA and trade you my actual seat. LOL. I know that we don't have any set rules on this yet, but I can wish. ;)
