If you listen to nevri's feed on mixlr, you'll hear the crowd is just fine. Unless you are referring to an earlier show?

Nope, I was there. It just seemed a little subdued. And I think the screen was overpowering for such a small venue.

  2. I would love to be able to get some feedback from the band management and promoters regarding the varying ticket delivery methods for this tour.  According to TM, the promoters put rules on how tickets would be delivered and that varies depending on the section.  We see tickets on resale sites that claim 'instant delivery' or sold with a gift credit card (not sure who owns these or how they get around the cc delivery).  I paid for my tickets, they are mine and i should be able to have possession of them.

And, setting different standards based on seating section makes no sense to me.  It would make more sense to control the access to purchase (to prevent bots, resellers purchasing, etc) than to restrict the delivery method for the individual buyer.

And don't even get me started on the monopolistic ticket/promoter system that U2 has chosen...

  3. Again, response from TM

Ticketmaster does not own or operate any venues. We are simply ticket sellers.

Almost every ticket we sell is actually owned by our clients, not by us.

We're generally selling tickets on behalf of our clients including artists, teams, venues, and promoters, though in some rare instances we may own a small number of tickets as part of our services contract with the individual client.

When Credit Card Entry is the only option, it’s probably because the tickets are in high demand, and the artist, team, or venue wants true fans like you to get the seats you want at face value by eliminating unfair competition from professional scalpers. Without the ability to resell tickets at steep prices, scalpers have no reason to snatch them up when they go on sale using automated software, or “bots”.

I hope this has resolved all of your questions, enjoy the event!

The only way they'll change cc # is if your bank issues a new card number.  Then you have to contact TM with a bank statement that proves you purchased and owned the old number.
