  1. Hello Jenwins. I have 2 questions. When you say NYC, do you mean East Rutherford, NJ (MetLife Stadium there)? Also, I didn't think those tickets were transferable at all - I thought they require the card they were purchased with to be swiped at the stadium for entry (unless a person somehow got their ticket(s) 'in hand' when they bought them). Thanx in advance for your reply.

  2. (P.S. Max Tsukino & anyone else: Just to let you know: for me, the trick to getting a tkt was someone's tip that said if you get a message like 'unable to process your request,' that just means you've tried too many times, but: just clear the cache, close the browser, & start again, & then if there are tickets you'll have access to buying them.)

  3.

Keep trying - tickets appear from time to time...

Thanx much, Max. I was just about to say: Toronto, here I come. But NYC is affordable for me. Toronto - not so much.

Max Tsukino & Bigwave & anyone else: I just came here to say thanx, I got a ticket, & I was so happEEE (& maybe I still am)...but on the way here, an unusual but *important* question arose: what did I just buy a tkt to? I didn't stop to see the homepage video til after purchase - I knew this tour was a celebration of Joshua Tree, which is great, but...I *have* to ask now: in addition to performing JT, *please* tell me NewYearsDay & SBS WILL be performed too! They HAVE to be. Not kidding on this. Does anyone know??

  4.

What are people talking about here re: NY? There are no NY dates announced.

true... but East Rutherford is so close to NY that sometimes is considered as if it were - have seen it before...

I got the answer I was looking for already, as you know. Then I saw some folks talking here. I debated whether to ask about it again here, knowing the answer might make ERutherford tix disappear. I was in the middle of picking out a ticket in another screen. They were available. Then I asked here. I think I shot myself in the foot by asking here. Tix were available in ERutherfordt - til I asked this question here. Now they're gone. Argh. *Sigh.*

  5. I think there should be a preference in pre-sale given to people who've had a subscription for over a year - the reason is that I think people who subscribe just for pre-sale are usually (or often) way off on guessing when it's really getting close to ticket-sale time for a tour because false rumors happen about that.

I wonder the thoughts of longtime subscribers about this - do u think I'm right that people who subscribe just for pre-sale just when they think tix are about to start selling are often way off in guessing when the sales will start?

  6. Wow. Bigwave. You can write! There's Heart & Soul in it! I say you've got the chops to be a lyricist! (U could put your experience into song. 3rd-person perspective - song title suggestion: 'The Road Calls His Name.' Hey, just a suggestion!) ...

Did u really just say "Got lost in the cold universe surrounding 'Iris' - maybe the song I had wanted to witness live, most"?  Wow - just last night, I myself got lost in the cold but Beautiful universe surrounding a different 'Iris' - which actually Was the song I had wanted to witness live the most (from that particular band)! To me, we live in a U2 Universe, but there's a song called 'Iris' by The Goo Goo Dolls that I love too (written for a Meg Ryan / Nicolas Cage movie which I think U2 also wrote a song for). Saw it Live in concert last night! "When everything feels like the movies, yeah u bleed just to know you're alive. And I don't want the world to see me, 'cause I don't think that they'd understand. When everything's made to be broken, I just want u to know who I am."

"You are from the future dudes." Lol.  B)

  7. Problem fixed. Tickets are false, Ebay warned me by mail...the guy is considered not reliable. :(

Wow. That's upsetting. It ought to be tracked down & prosecuted. I hope they do. In recent years, Ebay got stricter about the quality of its members, but I wonder what someone is doing being allowed on there if Ebay considers them not reliable.

A tip: I've been an Ebay user - both buying & selling - for years. I learned this: always look at how long an Ebayer has been an Ebayer - combined w/ their rating. Only consider trusting sellers who have At Least a 98% positive rating. Not 96% positive. Not 97% positive. Not 97.9% positive. To me, personally, even a 98% positive isn't good enough.

I have Always had a 100% positive rating as both a buyer & seller, & I don't see any reason why anyone should have less than 100%, though I guess 99% positive might be reasonable. But anything less than that, forget it.

  8. I'm losing my mind over this...ok so no cc issues but you can't transfer tickets and there's no paper tickets..I gotta call TM, I though MSG was gonna be easy.

Hello vtech. A few questions for you. What do you mean when you say you can't transfer tickets & there are no paper tickets? My ticket is for GA in NYC - and purchased online.

    1) What does not being able to transfer tickets mean? People trade & sell them all the time, so...

    2) Also, My ticket is a paper ticket. Wondering what you mean by "there's no paper tickets."

    3) Have you been trying to buy a ticket for MSG & haven't been able to?

    Thnx.

  9. When the latest email from u2.com says "If you have already used your presale code, it is not valid for further use..." does it mean 'if you have already used it up - to buy the maximum 2 tickets?'

Or does it mean if you used it at all - even to buy just 1 ticket for 1 of the 1st-announced shows - then you can't buy a 2nd ticket with it for a newly announced show? (I bought 1 ticket to one of the NYC shows that were first announced.)

Looking for a definitive answer from one of the official u2.com-meisters.

  10. Tickets for the Garden are not available at the general public sale time-- only at extremely high Re-sale prices . I can't believe U2 are league with such Bad Guys! i'm guessing they just want to play to the 1%. it's a Rich man's concert only now. thinking of Boycotting them.

I made my purchase for the Garden during the presale & I'm definitely not a 1-percenter. (Or a 2-percenter. Or a 10-percenter.) It took me over 3 hours, but I finally got what I wanted. I'm not the only one who had those difficulties. People's experiences sometimes had things in common & sometimes varied. Some got theirs in about an hour & a half. I know someone who got hers for a different venue (outside the U.S.) in about 5 minutes.

I see you're a subscriber, so what I wonder is whether you saw the announcement of the tour & presale in your email on the day it was sent. I think of how easy it would've been to miss that announcement until the next day or day after - I think of how I would've felt if I had skipped accessing my email for just that 1 day & missed the announcement until later during the following day or until it was too late. What I was thinking could be done differently in the future is to give more of a heads-up for subscribers - instead of announcing the presale the day b4, announce it 2 days b4.

  11. it migth not work, since the session might still be considered open... make sure you are logged off....

MAX: All's well that ends well. I went through the procedures u recommended & the process did get better, but because of the time delay, I was being offered seats I didn't want, so I finally just tried a different night & all went fine.

    BIGWAVE: Thanks for everything.

    :)

Please try this - it has worked for some:

    Log off U2.com and TM

    clear cookies and cache

close the browser and wait a few seconds

    reopen the browser

    log on again

    try again

also, there are reports that via mobile site has better success... please try it too...

VERY UNUSUAL PROBLEM: U2.com won't let me log off.

go to u2.com to log off - not here in zootopia

I tried that. Still wouldn't let me log off. I finally just closed the windows tab & did the rest of what u suggested (cleared cookies etc..logged back in). Will try buying tickets again now.

Madison Square Garden takes you to Ticketmaster which is fine until you enter the presale code. Trying since 10:00 am & it's 10:06 am now.

whats the first 5 characters of your code - U215A or U215B

Sorry Bigwave! Just saw your question. It's U215A.

  16. have your tried through the TOUR link?  Not sure if that will fix since it goes to TM anyways, but maybe?

Thx for the suggestion. Tried & it's been telling me this forever: "Searching for tickets. If you refresh or leave this page - you'll lose your place in line!"
