Ahhhhh...well, tonight was much better to and from the show - last night, bizarre amount of traffic going down and a grand experiment of inertia coming back (2+ hours in total); tonight, easy going down, even easier going back (barely over an hour from leaving the floor of the arena to being home). The moral of the story: if there is a baseball game on the same night as a concert, plan very, very carefully in advance...

I'll write more about both shows when I have rested up a bit. I'm tired, but very, very happy. :D

Also, I have an appeal for those who snapped pictures at either show, but especially tonight (i.e., Thursday) because I know for a fact that more were taken. If you look earlier in the thread, you'll find someone who went full-blown MacPhisto. On both nights, The Fly also made an appearance because...that was my outfit. B) The number of extended looks in the GA line outside the arena, on the floor in the arena, and even from the band during both shows, I lost count of. Tonight people went out of their way to take photos of me and even with me. So, the evidence is out there on FB, Twitter, and/or Instagram. (I'm not on any them - sorry, I'm not the biggest fan of social media).

Adam, and I'm pretty certain Bono as well, definitely noticed me yesterday (Wednesday) and grinned (I was in front of the main stage right in front of him). Tonight, The Edge, and Adam again, noticed me, and I swear even Larry made eye-contact with me twice during "Desire" (I was essentially on the rail on the e-stage tonight (Thursday)) - Bono saw me too, but chose not to linger (he must be tired of Fly-impersonators).

So, if anyone comes across a picture of The Fly from the June 14 show in Philly (or the 13th) anywhere, please let me/us know. Thank you! :Achtung_Baby_14:

(A review of shows is coming, I promise!)

    (I can't resist :D)

Maybe Bono didn't linger because Fly impersonators at concerts are as thick as . . .

Long time fan but just recently came aboard here (to get the presale)..  I am rather young for a U2 diehard (32) and my favorite U2 albums are Achtung Baby, Pop, JT and Zooropa.  But I honestly don't think think there's a bad one either.

Welcome, I'm an even younger U2 diehard (22) who lives in NC.

    The very front row.

OK. If I had the good luck (and the money) for a front row U2 ticket, I’d risk the rail once , quite possibly with a helmet and other gear to minimize crushing since I’m small too but a crazy fan.

Oh, the talking. I've tried the rail twice and was crushed both times (I'm quite small). Now my go-to sweet spot is right behind the superfans but in front of the casuals. You will find me there crying to Landlady in Nashville, TN.

Thank you all for the wonderful welcome. Catch you in the tour threads!

    What’s the rail?

It's the song I most want to hear live on this tour.  It's also the one where the masses will be talking as they do it.  I hope not.   welcome again, stellaria

I will be listening with rapt attention in Washington DC. Where will you hear it?

All in my top 5 as well! "The Little Things That Give You Away" is my absolute favorite - a soaring epic of joy and tears. "Lights of Home", "Summer of Love", "Red Flag Day", and "Landlady" are my favorites. I also love "13 (There Is A Light)" and how that changes "Song For Someone".  Someone like me...

I like “Song for Someone “ better than “13”, but “13” is a good new take on or reprise of “Song for Someone.” And who doesn’t love the flirting and gratitude flowing through “Landlady “.

Hey everyone! Like many, I've been a member of the site  for several years (since the 360 tour), but this is my first forum post. I have to go somewhere to talk about how much I love SOE, and how it's U2's best album in 20 years, because everyone I know in real life is tired of hearing about it.

Have a great day U2 fans of the world!

    Welcome, Stellaria (pretty name)

My favorite SOE songs are “Lights of Home,” “Summer of Love,” and “The Little Things That Give You Away.”
