  1. Unfortunately, I'm way beyond freaked out. This is to be someone's birthday gift and now I can't bear the thought of telling my friends they are the worst possible seats at Soldier Field. I spent almost $1000 for seats and presale access and am sick over this.

You're int he same boat as me.  I'm absolutely LIVID that I paid over $300 for the worst seat in the stadium, especially when they have better seats available today, for less $$....  Ticketmaster refuses to do anything about this.  My code is used up, so if I want that seat, I'll have to buy another $50 membership....  IT IS A TRAVESTY!!!!   Almost like the VIP Gold package I purchased in Germany and ended up at the very top of the venue all the way at the end, looking straight down (when I wasn't having Vertigo)...  THIS SCAM HAS GOT TO STOP!

  2. complete and utter f@*cking disgrace... 9:00 on the button, no redzone available... TICKETMASTER AND U2, you are a complete disgrace. membership WONT be renewed after 35 years going back to Propoganda days, have seen the band across Europe and USA for decades but this is the finish. this is NOT a case of being unlucky and supply exceeding demand which I would happily accept, this is simply a case of legalised ticket- touting.. thats the presale for both London dates and Dublin with genuine fans being totally shafted and swathes of tickets being creamed off at source by ToutMaster and resold for vast profits on their sister sites... someone want to try and explain why U2 (the band of the people) are simply allowing this to happen to their loyal and genuine fans??? answer is simple... MONEY!  U2 and their management team are completely complicit in this scam and couldnt give a SH1T about us... SIMPLE AS THAT.

Well, I used my last presale code yesterday to buy a ticket for night 2 at Soldier Field... paid > $300 and found out on the forums last night, these are literally the worst seats in the entire stadium!  Under a huge overhang, right by the concession stands, can't see the stage, and the sound is horrid.  Ticketmaster will not refund or exchange my seat, so I am going to be required to contact Amex to dispute the charge, which they say will cancel my Ticketmaster account and no longer let me purchase tickets from them.  Tried to purchase another seat today, with hopefully a better view/sound, and they want to charge me $50 to sign up for the fan club again.... after many, many years of being a loyal and dutiful fan, I am contemplating not renewing next year.  To pay $40 less than a RedZone seat for the WORST SEAT IN THE STADIUM is a disgrace.  I fully agree with you.

I would have been better off buying scalp seats!

  3. I found this picture on Twitter by searching Soldier Field 105.  It looks pretty representative as it appears to be taken from a high row close to the aisle next to 104, which is where I am.

     $303 for a ticket and this is what I get???   I am calling Ticketmaster tomorrow to ask for a refund.  If they won't, Amex is very good about cancelling charges if the product is unacceptable.

  4. The only tickets that I was offered in the 100s for Red Hill presale for Chicago 2 were the highest rows in section 104.  At least I learned here not to take those.  Unfortunate that in both Red Hill presales that upper rows of 104 and 105 were the only tickets made available to me for best available.

Me too, but I went ahead and ordered, since I hadn't read these posts before ordering!  I tried to do other tickets and it wouldn't let me, since RZ was already sold out.  Guess I'm screwed.  I don't wanna see U2 from a closet!

  5.

And, how was it determined which side you were on? If I want to be on Adam's size in the red zone, can I choose?

They sold them as RZ1 or RZ2, not sure which is which, though...

I had RZ1 in Chicago and was on Adam's side.

  6. Fabono,

I was replying to Babyface - it's a Redzone GA, but I can't make the show. Sale only, or exchange for RZ for Koln, either night. I have a GA and seated for Koln, but because I'm flying in from the US on Friday and flying back on Monday, would like to see a RZ show in Koln, rather than just GA or seated.

  7. Mickyjtoo,

  8. Thank you for your assistance.  I actually contacted Live Nation who told me how to transfer the ticket.  So, the good news is, I now have a Red Zone 1 ticket for Tuesday for sale!  Do you need one?

  9. I have a RedZone1 ticket for Tuesday in Antwerp, that I cannot use, due to starting a new job a few weeks ago. I have been trying to work with Sportpalais/Teleticket to try to let me gift the ticket back to RED or transfer to someone here on the forum, but they keep insisting I must be there to pick up the voucher.  I know RED doesn't work that way - they let me send a snapshot of my ID to the person using my daughter's RED ticket in Chicago and there was no voucher required.  I got to go on in and my late friend was able to enter later.  Does anyone know why Sportpalais seems to be operating so differently, that a voucher is required to go to box office?  in Chicago, Emma had little packets made up for each of us, and that is all we needed.

Any ideas from anyone who may be familiar with these strange rules?

  10. Please let me know if you can contact the venue or someone from Red (Emma?) and get this worked out. I can send copy of ID to them and certify a statement that the ticket is being transferred to you.  I'm sick that I have to miss the show, especially with RZ... I have tix for the weekend shows in Koln, so am now flying from Ohio to Paris on Friday, train to Koln, shows Saturday and Sunday, train back to Paris on Monday for a flight back to Ohio.  I had hoped to spend a few days in France (at least see a museum or two), a few in Belgium (beer, chocolate, and waffles), and venture into the Black Forest for a cuckoo clock... now it's trains and planes and my men @ U2 and back to work!

  11. I have a RZ ticket for Tuesday that I cannot use, due to starting a new job last week. Not sure how I would go about getting it transferred to someone else (I am in the US), had RZ for Chicago and my daughter couldn't make the show, so had to wait outside for the gentleman who purchased my extra ticket.  If you can figure out how to get the ticket into your name, I will sell it to you for face value.

  12. Cathy,

That is the problem with having RZ tickets and having someone back out - they cannot be transferred or sold. I was wondering how Vivid Seats even got them, unless they are employees paid to order them.
