Huge accident and traffic jam on 71 S. near Carrollton.... be alert!

I plan to come in from Cincy around noon, with my 6 year old granddaughter (my daughter can't make the show). The weather reported that it will be extremely hot and uncomfortable (101 heat index). Is anyone familiar with the facilities around the stadium... trees or access to shade? Trying to decide if I should rent a room and let her swim in the afternoon, and just show up late. Unfortunately, if we do that, we will be WAAAAAY back and she won't be able to see anything. On the other hand, we can come early and endure, but the 3 hour wait between stadium entry and actual show will be equally as uncomfortable, without access to ice, cooler, etc., as I experienced in Chicago a few weeks ago.

Does anybody have experience taking the train from one of the stations in northern Indiana to soldier Field ? I'm looking for a safe station to park since I'm coming solo and will be returning after the show .

Has anybody taken the train from somewhere in northern Indiana ? And does anybody know where the train stops relative to soldier Field and if it is safe for a woman to take the train back to Indiana at night after the show ?

My first U2 show was an outdoor concert in the spring of 1983 in North Carolina ... it was a very cold rain that day! We somehow ended up in grandmaster flash tour bus to warm up and dry off a bit while The Producers played. It was hell being so cold and wet, but it was one of my favorite days ever !

I am devastated that I paid over $300 for an obstructed view ticket, but even more devastated that the band knows this is a problem every time and has done nothing to rectify it. After the purchase when I discovered how horrible the seat is I bought a GA. I'm wondering if I can get on the field after checking into my seat or if I should go to the GA first and then to my seat If GA has tall guys obstructing the view from the field...

You can reserve parking at soldier Field but the lots do not open until four hours before the show, so if you plan to wait in the GA line, those probably will not work .

I have extra Chicago Night 1 GA's and am needing GA's for Night 2... Would prefer to trade a pair for a pair but lets hang on to each others info. Hey Geo, I have a 104 ticket and GA for night two, you can have my extra GA, if I decide to take a seat. Then you can have 2. Depends on where/if I find a room, or if I'll be camping at the stadium.
