  1. What a couple of nights, last night seats, tonight red zone, they seemed to love it tonight and crowd were up for it too. Fantastic show
  2. Left me feeling quite choked watching the footage. Pray he gets well soon so we get to see the show but his health is what comes first. Get well soon Bono.
  3. Thought Saturday night was immense and Sunday was pretty cool too but Saturday edged it for me. Band were on fire and clearly enjoying it. Only downside was as others have said the barge through of people just before U2 or during Noel to the front of stage. When you have queued since 10.15am on each day to then have very rude people with no wrist bands on, turn up and think it's ok to stand right in front of you creating an invisible space and then proceed to back into to you provocatively was unacceptable. Saturday wasn't as bad because I didn't react just moved away but Sunday 2 very rude French couples came over and cited themselves right in front of us. I swapped places with my partner as she was very upset but this time I said something and it ended with quite a few words. I am all for freedom but this was unacceptable when you have been queuing to get a great view and then have that taken away so aggressively and obnoxiously. Apart from that the 2 shows were fabulous and the band on great form.
  4. Great set list but have a feeling the boys will concentrate on the albums before JT so Boy, October, War and Unforgettable Fire songs getting aired again before hitting JT and finishing with 40 !
  5. £86??? That's ridiculous - especially for a plastic pop group who might spend half their show miming! I'm sure your daughter will develop a better taste in music as she grows up - maybe you should start making U2 songs mysteriously appear on her music device of choice! To be fair she does love listening to U2 too, absolutely loves Mysterious Ways and Every Breaking Wave Piano version, just school peer pressure for Little Mix as all her friends are going. Was hoping to take her to U2 but i just can't afford the seat tickets for us all and standing is 14 and over only. So she will have to wait until they eventually play the Isle of Wight Festival or until she is old enough to stand with us in a few years time.
  6. Just to add a bit more perspective my daughter wants to see Little Mix on July 9th in Southampton, just looked and standing tickets are £86.00 ! Yes 86.00 that's more than U2 ! Sadly I have told her she can't as Mummy and Daddy are watching a real band that day at Twickenham
  7. Just reading through some comments on the U2 Facebook page and seems a lot of people won't pay the ticket prices for seats and accusing U2 of no longer being a band of the people. I have been lucky and got Standing Tickets for both shows, as both myself and my partner are long term members so had 2 sets of codes. Both last Weds and this I was on the TM site with the countdown and within 60 seconds of countdown hitting 00.00 I had tickets, similar to the O2 gigs in 2015. I suppose we did just get lucky as it seems others have had a bad experience. Personally, i do feel £187.00 is a little excessive to pay for decent seats, as £400.00 for us both to attend is a touch extreme but if the demand is there and it clearly is, as the O2 was full each night I went even in the £162.00 priced seats, then the tickets will be priced accordingly, regardless of my opinion. To counter that £70.00 for standing is a fair price in todays market and that is fortunately what we have got.
  8. I have always been able to buy for one show through U2.com pre sale and then other shows in the general sale, so don't see why that will change this time as well. If another date is announced in UK I will certainly be trying to get another couple for the 2nd date.
  9. This is exactly what happened to me last time U2 played Twickenham but not since at any others. Got put up in the cheapest seats in Twickenham 10 mins after they went on sale. I hoped this had been resolved and thought it was down to technology back in 2005 but perhaps not. I dont get it we are the fans who have every year since 1983 paid a subscription fee to originally follow the band but now really to ensure we get tickets for concerts, yet clearly only a small percentage are allocated between us, so some are ok but others aren't and dont get given the choice of tickets available, when the tickets haven't actually gone on general sale. Someone please explain why. I was a lucky one this time but I have been in this position too and its not a nice feeling. Last time when this happened to me I ended up going to Paris through Event Travel and whilst it was a fantastic show and something i will never forget, that original Twickenham show was the only time in something like 45 times that I have seen U2 that I felt disappointed both before and after the show. Not really very fair.
  10. I thought it was ticketless and your credit card is your ticket? Like the O2 in 2015, if so there will be a lot of disappointed touts or people who have bought too many tickets.
  11. Got in this morning in seconds, clock count down went 00.00, next thing I knew the page refreshed and i was on the opening page, 4 in QTY and bingo all paid for by 9.02 ! What a difference to the Vertigo Tour when all i could get were £40 up in the gods seats, I suppose technology now meant less problems than back then. Happy Days !
  12. Thank ..... for that had a nightmare last time ! Standing to see The Boys back in London Town ! Hope everyone else ok too.
  13. Fingers crossed that this time tomorrow we all have the tickets we wanted, i do hope so, i really don't want to end up with non-U2 fans around me again in the cheapest area of the stadium. For the Pre-Sale we should get access to any area we want unless they sell out because they are sold out, not because they only have a certain percentage available. Back in the Pre 2000's we always got the best tickets but now it is a gamble. I don't want a £40.00 seat because the expensive areas are sold out........ I want a decent seat or GA ticket, surely that isn't too much to ask when we pay £40.00 every year to do so.....Please.
  14. The shows In London were amazing ! To me a group that had refound themselves again !
