  1. Some specific GA info that the venue is sending out (thanks to EducateMyMind for forwarding) :

"Guests who have general admission tickets to the U2 concert and want to line up in advance will be directed to line up on the Northwest corner of 1st Street & Madison. However, that is not our property and is a public right of way so individuals who are lined up cannot block the sidewalk.
At 9am on the day of the show, we will distribute numbered wristbands to guests who are already in line.
Those guests will not need to wait in line all day but we encourage them to return to the Pavilion, located on 1st Street & Jefferson Street, at 4pm so we can get individuals back into the correct order.
Guests with a numbered wristband who arrive after 5pm will not be guaranteed their place in line.
Once doors open, guests will have their credit card scanned, a ticket stub printed and they will use that ticket stub to get the wristband for the floor.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions and we hope you enjoy the concert!"

U2: INNOCENCE AND EXPERIENCE TOUR REVIEW

    POSTED BY LIV LOREN  MAY - 19 - 2015

Excitement filled the city as one of the world’s biggest bands was preparing for the first two dates of their world tour.  U2 spent a month in the city of Vancouver practicing and preparing for the iNNOCENCE And eXPERIENCE Tour, and fans stood outside just so they could get a sneak peak of the set, or even just to hear the band play.  They came from all over the world just to see the opening date of U2’s tour, not only that but they started lining up 4 days before it would even begin.

The day finally arrived, everyone in the city was buzzing.  People were walking around the city wearing their old U2 tour shirts with pride, even if it meant having it under your work clothes, blasting music as they drove around, or just talking about what songs they wanted to hear over coffee.  Even while standing in line waiting to get in Rogers Arena, people were discussing all the previous times they’ve seen the band, and they didn’t even know each other.  It was already bringing people together....

  3. Hi everyone. I've been emailing with the arena about their GA policy, and today they sent me their plan. The biggest thing: they will offer wristbands so that we don't have to wait in line all day (unless we want). Here's the email I got from them today:

"Guests who have general admission tickets to the U2 concert and want to line up in advance will be directed to line up on the Northwest corner of 1st Street & Madison. However, that is not our property and is a public right of way so individuals who are lined up cannot block the sidewalk. Those guests will not need to wait in line all day but we encourage them to return to the Pavilion, located on 1st Street & Jefferson Street, at 4pm so we can get individuals back into the correct order.
