I felll asleep. I woke up bummed and a bit ornery. I read the news. Adam saying it definitely was not an opportunity for a bass solo made me laugh. It's all better now.
Adam should just do one. I’d be curious what he might come up with.

You know, I was planning on not listening to this show because of the earliness of the hour on the East Coast; however, now I will have to get up to find out about this...

LV1.....I guess most of us leave a U2 show feeling like we got some kind of fix, that we did not quite know we needed, until it arrived , on cue, as the show began. And perspective. Macro vs micro. Big picture. Such a cool show austetically but for me, the set list was as close to perfect as has been for a few tours. Hello to my newly found Scottish friends from your friend in New Scotland. !

I'm very well aware of this. Why bash those with different views? Just unite us instead of dividing us. I enjoy the music of U2 always have ...always will. If you want to talk about your views then have a round table discussion with those who are interested in your views at a different time and place. So those who have different opinions don't have to feel like we are wrong because our view is different then what he feels. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but to make people feel like their wrong is not right. I didn't pay to be told that my view is wrong. I payed with hard earned money to hear your music not your view on what you think is right.
I think exposing views that are objectively, scientifically, filled with hate, misogyny, racism and cruelty isn't a bad thing. If we are agree that those things are evil, we are united. If we don't agree, shame, just enjoy the music and allow rational discourse to carry the day. Slides are fun, but slipper slopes are dangerous for the world.

That would fit perfectly. Hope it comes together.

Google maps
It says less than 3km in less than 40 minutes, uphill on your way to Croke
Thank you, I'm guessing that it will be a case of head to the city centre, hopefully there will be some u2 themed stuff going on in the afternoon, and then follow the hordes up to Croke Park.
Murrays Bar at the top right of O'Connell St was fantastic at the last Croke Park weekend. Beer garden out back, tribute bands, and loads of U2 fans from around the world - hopefully they put on something similar in July.
Of course they will do something similar, what am I thinking!
Great also as you just come out turn right and take a 20 min stroll to Croker after a couple of pre concert beverages. We'll bus it in from the outskirts, and meet my brother and sister n law there. Just have to find a taxi post gig to get us back out to our hotel.
You nailed it....Murray's was the ideal spot.

I caught that two times, said differently in ticketing process, luckily.
Funny as I was near check out for ground level and buying the tickets and it said, " no under 16's allowed on pitch". So I avoided red zone and GA's.
As I was buying seats, it had another post ( slightly different and as Monica noted), also at check out ,which qualified that first statement.
It said, " no under 16's on the pitch unless accompanied by an adult AND over 14 ".
They make it so so easy ! lol
My son is 13 and has been in RZ and GA's a couple of times at other venues. Case by case.
I am thinking pre show get together if anyone has ideas for kids and parents.
-
My son and I have been to a few U2 shows and will be in Dublin. He's 13. I am multiples of that.
Any fans traveling with kids looking to create a pre show, or half day 'event' more in line with who is in our company ?!
I admit to not having any specific ideas, but brainstorming might result in coming up with something enjoyable.

right, was for the 360°
Monica....I think my friend and I met you and your partner there years back...funny.Someone might want to check http://dcusummeraccommodation.ie/accommodation/college-park-apartments/
It's a great place 3km away from Croke
@mods hope it's ok to post this or any other idea for accommodation
I am taking my son and checked this at the very moment the tour was announced for this summer...and they showed zero availability. Did you manage to get a spot here or are they holding rooms for later...much like ticketmaster !!
I live m in Dublin now
Did you write them? Because at the moment they show they give availability on request, there's no form to fill in
Anyway guys keep checking because many places mighthhave availability close to the date because of cancellation
I think it was Vertigo...way back. I emailed the college and have not heard back but will call Monday. We have a place booked, but I really liked the atmosphere there ( and the reasonable price point ), so hope something comes up.
Always exciting planning a U2 adventure !

" we need more Canada's "
Get used to hearing that but the way I lean, it seems true.
-
After much deliberation, I have decided to stay in my own home. Ten minutes walk to venue.
That's funny...BUT, had I read this prior to booking my hotel, I might have been asking if you were renting rooms !!

B.W.Academy Plaza Hotel, off O'Connoll.
Thrilled to be taking my 13 year old son, though no doubt will mean a much calmer and more sober version of myself this time in visiting Dublin !

I can't get literally anything. It just keeps giving me "there was an error with your search" and this is across trying multiple platforms, browsers, etc...
Back out, clear your cache and try going through the link on the tours page: http://www.u2.com/touror the mobile app
Unfortunately Mich...that makes no difference, just sets you back further in line.
Clearly TM did not release everything yesterday. Not surprising but really disappointing.
