  1. So what I can tell you is this

So myself and 2 other friends went into presale. I got standing for 28th last night in Dublun but the price was 70 euro. My friend got same for Belfast but £60 a ticket.

Other friend got a shit seat.

    We all went for GA

It would seem that they advertise £30 for GA but after a certain amount sell, they go over double the money.

This is a scam and not right or fair.

By the way my mate has a box for Belfast so I'm sorted there.

    Can you enlighten me.

    JB

GA never £30, thats for seats in Gods. Price for GA is same for all, in your case 70 Euro you say, your friend £60 for Belfast which is same as other UK cities, Glasgow around £60 mark for instance. GA always goes fast.

  2. The problem is that U2.com says debit card is acceptable, while ticketmaster.ie says only "credit card", not a word about debit cards.

I'm worried about buying tickets as well. Is there any chance to clarify this? Will I be able to buy paperless tickets on monday with my DEBIT card?

I have bought from TM in the past with a debit card ('borrowed' from the mrs... she hides them from me...)

  3. I am a little upset today.  I never used my presale code to buy any tickets for the first leg because it NEVER worked.  I ended up buying my Vancouver tickets via the general sale.  Now, U2.com customer service is saying I used it TWICE and they can't find the dates it was used. This is ridiculous - I got 2 different responses that were basically - tough sh*t, we see you have used it twice.  And how is that even possible?

Anyone got a better way to contact someone that can actually help me?  I paid for the subscription for the presale code which didn't even work back when the tickets went on sale.

yes - if you can send me full details via PM with emails back and forth we can get it looked at for you

  4.

Can the codes be use for two shows - so a single code for one ticket to each of two shows, similar to how it worked in the US? Or is it good for just one show regardless of whether you purchase one or two tickets? Many thanks...

bigwave or anyone else, if at all possible would love a confirmation on this either way, since the presale for tomorrow is looming... Thank you!

yes have asked twice today... not received a reply. My gut feeling is yes, as it states in Help FAQ if you have already used your code for a single ticket previously, you CAN use the 'other half' for this presale :

Q - I have already used my unique presale access code to buy tickets for U2ieTour shows earlier in 2015, can I use it again in presales for the Belfast/Dublin shows ?

A - If you’ve already bought two tickets in earlier pre-sales, your presale ticketing code is no longer valid. If you only bought one ticket in an earlier presale, your code will be valid to buy one more ticket in the Belfast/ Dublin presale.

If we get further clarity, will update

  5. Absolutely fuming, I resubscribed on Tuesday, ordered my gift and awaited my presale code! I checked the faq to make sure all was ok, all that was said was log onto tours and get your code!!there was none'numerous emails later including being told my code would be emailed, I today find out that suddenly there's faq about dublin specifically! I decided to ring the outside us number, left hanging for 10 mins to be told they no longer handle u2.com '!I'm ringing from Ireland!!! Rang another number, 10 mins later, no joy!no tickets and will probably pay more in phonecalls than the ticket, disgrace

sent your details up again to TM direct - will reply to the PM discussion we were having when they get back to me

  6. I'm a long time subscriber, I'm Irish and have been saving my code for the Dublin shows but I live in London and the code is not working - surely I should be allowed buy tickets for the Dublin shows !!!

Q - When will presales for U2.com subscribers take place for the band’s November Irish shows?

A - Presales for the Dublin and Belfast shows take place from Thursday September 10th (10am) until Fri Sep 11th (12noon) for subscribers in Ireland (Republic of and NI); and on Friday Sep 11 (12noon until 5pm) for other qualifying U2.com subscribers, while ticket supplies last. All times are local venue time.

Q - Who qualifies to enter ‘presales’ for the Belfast and Dublin Shows?

A - 1) Any U2.com subscriber living in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland who joined prior to the announcement of these Irish shows (11:00pm 8 Sept local time).

  7. Thought I'd chip in with my 'experience'. I heard about the irish dates via twitter and used a link to register as a paid subscriber on U2.com. This was about 12:15am on 9th September. Now at the time there was no 'irish dates are not eligible for pre-sale to those who registered after the 8th September' messages on the subscription page. A few hours later I thought I'd pop on here for the first time to have a look. I was browsing the pre-sales section when I saw someone say that anyone who subscribed after the 8th announcement wouldn't get a pre-sale code. I went to the subscription section and the message was there. I was very cheesed off. I emailed U2.com and asked them when I would get the pre-sale code but after reading on here about people waiting for months for a reply from them I didn't hold out much hope. In the meantime I contacted my credit card company to see if I could cancel my subscription.

I actually got a reply from U2.com about an hour later. They confirmed that I wasn't eligible. I was pissed off so I replied asking for my subscription to be cancelled and the money refunded. I was very surprised when I got an email an hour later saying I had been given wrong information and that I would get a pre-sale code! Five minutes later I got the code which worked like a charm this morning and got me two seats in Belfast on 19th November.

So it seem that stuff about people who registered after the announcement not be eligible was wrong.

seems you fell in the very short window between announcement and updated text on website, and good to hear they accommodated you

  8. I've just read all these messages from Irish people whose codes don't work...

I am not Irish but i am a paid subscriber and i have an unused code which i am planning to use tomorrow for Dublin.

As we know, non Irish subscribers will have only 5 hours for presale tomorrow (from 12p.m till 5p.m.) and it is not much time to resolve any problems with the code, i guess...

    i become nervous a bit...

we will be around to assist where we can, good idea to read peoples experience from today, good & bad, to prep...

Changed my code, 2 tickets GA sat night :D

    good luck everyone

I just phoned this number...I've been told that my pre-sale code is valid for the area that I come from. I live in Derry (Northern Ireland) and as this is classified as the UK, I am not permitted to buy any tickets in today's pre-sale. Apparently (per conversation with U2.com support guy) today's pre-sale is only for people living in the Republic or North of Ireland and as I've been classified as living in the UK, I can't use my pre-sale code until tomorrow.

    FUBAR'd.

ring back, ask to speak to floor supervisor
