  1. Mich, you had an opening band tonight!! I like The Fray.. Bigwave...you okay??!!!
  2. That's very cool....it was awesome to hear Break On Through last night...my first U2 show they sang a cover of "Light My Fire."
  3. <script async defer src="//platform.instagram.com/en_US/embeds.js"></script> haha....had to watch that video...
  4. The GA line moved from Pincay to Kareem Ct.... and you can park along the sidewalk there on Kareem Ct and not pay anything until you park your car inside the lot. It will cost you $25.00 unless you wanna save $5.00 and go to the parking lot on Pincay where it is $20.00. I'd pay the 25 because it's way closer and since you get there early..you'll park behind the reserved VIP parking. And no, the line up doesn't begin at 9:00 am...it can start the night before, people were already lined up after or during LA3 for LA4! We arrived around 6:00 am and were numbers 158 &159. Seems a lot of people did arrive in the morning, thank God..I didn't wanna camp out all night and we did get an up against the red zone rail on the northside and a place to sit and lean up against. Seems a lot of..GA'ers were going for the catwalk all against the rail. If you wanna get front rail anything you'll have to start lining up early. Hope this helps, have a good time..
  5. Bono might have been singing to you, don't put it out of your head. Anything can happen. The boy called up on Tuesday was the kid standing next to us in the GA line and the girl Bono called up Wednesday during Angel Of Harlem was one of the fans I met during the meet and greet who took pics for me and posts here! We waited at the M & G again..but just hanging out.in the back of the barricades looking to get a view of the guys if they came around..They came around Tuesday and Wednesday..and Saturday was Edge and his soft hands.. Finally...it was Bono who drove by and smiled and waved..he had his hand around his cross..I loved it. A hands on cross drive by.. What can I say about last night...it was like a party....and there with plenty of balloons.. The crowd was psyched and full of this tremendous energy!! Before the show there was some noise and cheering..we thought it was the mexican wave.. but I didn't see any hands up...it turns out reading some tweets it was a woman flashing her boobs... I posted about my GA experience in the Joe's thread..did meet some nice people. A gentlemen from Texas with his brother and niece..we were celebrity watching.. Didn't see anyone..heard Jimmy Kimmel was there and Bono did mention it. Also read Chris Martin was there.. I thought he might be there because Bono sang a yellow snippet during Beautiful day..and he also mention his appreciation for someone who was wearing a Coldplay tee shirt..Funny, my daughter was going to wear hers! I met a guy from Poland and the guy next to me who came alone and had been to a lot of U2 and Pearl Jam shows..he was so excited about the possibility of hearing 40..he kept saying he was hoping...and when it was time for the last song..he watched the guitars being changed..(Adam's)and he KNEW..it was going to be 40 before he heard it..and then we heard the beginning notes..I wish you could have all seen his face and his hands...they were together like a prayer of joy and happiness..I gave him a high five and it was so special Bono's talk about Dennis and how the 40 crowd singing had it's origins and how it came from Dennis. Some of us did the one up sign of pointing to the heavens and giving God the glory for Dennis, his life with U2 and his 40. It was a special night for me, I took my daughter to see U2 again. It was her second time. She went to Angel Stadium last and she did get to hear Vertigo again....the song she used to hear everyday in the 5th grade while driving her to school. She did the whole GA experience with me and we really had the time of our U2life.
  6. Last night our experience in the GA section on the Northside was much more enjoyable than my Tuesday show. Everyone surrounding was cool and nice. Did get to speak with fans and lean against the red zone rail and sit down while waiting for the show to begin. Only thing is..if you are borderline claustrophobic or have anxiety issues...it might be a challenge. Where we were standing..towards the front it seems to get a bit crunched as the night goes on..and there are some very persistent fans who do everything they can to make their way towards your happy place..there was a tall guy who came next to me..but I talked to him before the show began..he was from Poland and had a 14 flight..sweet guy..who during the show asked the girl standing next to me..if she wanted to get in front of him. I think it helps to get to know the people around you..and the fans standing next to us were perfect and the crowd was so full of energy. I do see a video of more room and space and fans walking around along the catwalk. Think next time maybe I'm going to put myself somewhere along there..the only thing is you miss all the eye contact and expressions..eye rolls..etc.. Since I was on Adams's side, it was surreal to see that Adam smile plenty...I couldn't see Edge so well..I did catch Larry well and did have an open view..I love his grimaces..and he works real hard up there..not that the others don't. but drummers have to work harder.. ...and Bono....well...he did look our way and it drove our section crazy each time...
  7. My turn for my computer to crash..I missed Streets..did see Stephen onstage...how precious was that...
  8. Did you all see the vid of the blonde girl Bono pulled onstage with him at the Roxy? She was so calm..and she just could not believe what was happening..!! Koke-Dera has a thread about it... if it's ok, I'll link you when the show ends... =D cool..
  9. I give anyone a high five if they can repeat what the Bullet The Blue Sky Rhyme is? Welcome back Mich!
  10. Piano Edge... GO Larry...!!! where's Mich's graphics..
  11. remember Bono would say...and I'm a jerk??!!! Nice talk Bono did there.
  12. It was a punk medley thanks Mich..Bono asked the crowd in Vancouver about what they liked better. ..think I remember that.
  13. It was a mix of punk - new wave songs with snippets of interviews with artists/bands of that age... Ahh....
  14. What was the intermission song before they changed it to the Wanderer? I was thinking about this the other day.
  15. Wow..Max, we have plenty choices tonight.. I'm still watching Tim's periscope!
  16. Love the lyric, "The universe is beautiful but cold" and just the way he sings it. agree Mich..
  17. Hearing Iris for the first time was the most beautiful song to get to hear from Songs Of Innocence. It's more powerful in person hearing with those speakers and the sound.
  18. I've been to Canters..just a few weeks ago...!!
