  1. Edge was on the dance floor......he's a funky man...LOL
  2. From: Perenelle: I have been a bit worried about such things as eating and peeing. I'm not one who has had a lot of concert experience, I go way back but haven't been able to get in until recently. I had a real fiasco with the No Line tour when I got the dates mixed up after Bono had his surgery. The friend I went with was VERY upset needless to say, I had GE but wound up with seats which we were lucky to get at Giants Stadium. This time there must be NO errors! Thanks so much, Joe, for all the great info. I'm going to be at MSG, probably going to get there at like 4:00 a.m. just to make it optimal. Not sure what to make of the "no pit" situation but am hoping to get up at least to the catwalk, managed that once for the Zootopia tour and that was even a free experience with 2 extra tickets just handed over to me and someone I was talking to outside AFTER the concert had started. We missed the pipers who kicked off the show - it was St. Pat's Day and special - but wound up quite close to the stage! I'll be posting my experiences ASAP after the concert! Catch you in the queue, haha! U2LAWoman says: Eating and peeing..not sure if this is in Joe's GA policy and I didn't go back to read. We had time to eat something(we brown bagged it) after we received or wristbands...near 10...we didn't eat until after the meet and greet in the barricaded numbered GA barricade sections. For us..it wasn't until 4 or so..by the time we made it back from the M & G. We finished the rest of what we had left to eat then. So, we felt nourished..but really didn't bring enough water with us..only had a very small can of coke zero with me..and during the concert..I didn't wanna leave even though I kept seeing everyone with beers and I was dying to get something to drink and when the concession guy came around to us with candy and popcorn..I didn't ask if he had water, then. He came around again during the show...and I asked him for water but he didn't have any..so when Bono threw the water I really needed it!! I was so thirsty and sweaty and I had a couple on times where one drunk tall guy invaded our space and I had to tell him to please leave and go back to where he came from because we couldn't see. Think he carefully planned where and how he was going to infiltrate our little nice cozy spot..because we were all girls..and short ones at that and I didn't like it because my young niece and another young were near me/ him. He didn't listen of course and stayed... there was an incident that I won't say caused a ruckus and it was during SBS. I'll say though..she was fed up with him and had to push him away!! We were all upset HE did that and then some tall girl moved her way in front of me and that's when I couldn't breathe very well and I was so pissed she wandered over to me..she was drunk too... and her hair was all in my face and this is when I started to feel anxiety and claustrophobia taking over me. Restroom breaks were easy before you have to form a line for the credit card scanning..but close to that time is when we decided to catch a restroom break but the forum employee told us they were about to scan our cards. When we made it to the forum tunnel to make our way to the GA floor ...we each ran because we had some time while they were only releasing a certain number of fans each time and it was taking a little time..That's when most of the ladies did seem to catch a restroom break. One more thing..maybe I need to get it off my chest...I did run into a couple of rude U2 fans. Both, because I had stopped to ask them a question and they sassed back at me..well..if I wanted to be treated like a Mom..I would have just stayed home..!! Once when asking one of the M & G fangirl what line this was for..she wouldn't tell me it was for the M & G and told me and pointed the direction of the GA line..it's over there.....Don't know why she did this..??other than she didn't want us to know what they were there for...or...she thought is was a stupid question...don't understand why she did that..Yes, I did see someone holding a pen..but still...I was irked by her I remember telling another fan..."I hope Bono ignores her when he comes down the line!" Hope my telling adventure does help a bit..because I know about errors and how things can go wrong, not how you planned. Good luck!! I'll never let any bad experience ruin a U2 show for me, even so..it was a great night and I'll never forget it.
  3. On night 1 LA..they handed them out at 10:00 am but they are handing them out where the GA line moved across the street until a certain time.. noon or later ??5:00 pm I think.....not sure.. There will be a line formed for those who didn't get the wristbands earlier.
  4. The side where the GA line is, the driveway across the street. You'll see the barricades and some fans waiting. Good Luck!
  5. Missed that the first time, awesome I heard the Zootopians part... but NOT the never fails part!!! Wow..just wow ...
  6. It was my first GA since Vertigo and we had a nice view against the red zone..could see the band..could see the screen. The e stage was a little hard to see because I'm not that tall. Think next time I might move against the red zone rail in the center like some have said. Loved the set up...at times didn't know where to look...should I look at the stage or the screen..I think someone did say this as well. The sound was awesome..!!! Made the songs pop out more..it seemed they took over your soul and you were in them. The highlights for me were Cedarwood Rd, Raised By Wolves, Every Breaking Wave, Song For Someone, California and Iris...Iris was the song I felt most connected with..it has more feeling live. Felt the same way about Invisible. The rest of the setlist was golden. I get amazed how U2 has an amazing catalogue of music from various times and eras and they could play even more of their amazing setlist. Looking forward to hearing Crystal Ballroom, Lucifer's Hands, Volcano and TheTroubles..they could alternate the Innocence songs throughout the tour or just play the whole album...that would be a dream of course. Bono remains a great front man and he can make you feel like he is singing to you.(know I always say this..but it's true) Edge has amazing energy and really moves and dances with his guitar and takes a good dip..! haha..Adam is cool Adam..and plays his bass effortlessly and I love the way he smiles all the time...Larry's drumming on California and Raised By Wolves stands out ..he has a very special Larry way of drumming like Bono says. What a band these guys are. It amazes me that they are rock stars still..but they know when times get rough they look to each other, scriptures, literature.. and to people who know about power and how special it is to use power wisely and use it to change things. They are a band who pays attention on how to keep and remain special..they don't take what is special lightly..they work real hard to make rock and roll better. Loved when Bono said..it's not tricks..it's magic..they all make magic together and I couldn't be more happier that this album took the time that it did..because they waited the time it needed for the magic to be heard and shown at it's best. They have figured out when it's time to take the rabbit out of the hat, every time.First time I heard Songs Of Innocence I knew it was going to kick ass live and it does!! I think the fighting Irish can hold their own beautifully!! Just looking at them on stage, you can see it clearly. Everytime... past and present and future.
  7. Yeah...love it!!! Awesome show U2!!! Thanks everyone for the company. Epic night!!!!
  8. Awesome..Bono shook her hand!! We could hear Sil..thank you!!
  9. I was thinking wouldn't it be great if they played ELEVATION!!?
  10. This is good to know... revising my planned arrival time for Saturday. That's awesome you got to see them & get your purse signed! Don't forget water and an umbrella..really...the sun gave me a Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer look!!
  11. Yeah..it's like Edge is just like one of us... not watching where he's going...and daydreaming..
  12. Some fans in the red zone were taking selfies at the end of the show...Edge saw them and rolled his eyes.... they had their backs turned..... Turning your back on the Edge is a sin!!
  13. I did...!! Love that skeleton guy!! And Richard Blade is there..awesome..listen to him a lot on satellite radio and back in his KROQ days!!
  14. Across the street from the GA line. That driveway..where all the trucks are. You'll see a barricade there. Bono and Larry were in separate black SUV type vehicles. Good Luck!
