  1. Those attempting to go on slagging off bigwave, mich and max - grow up and stop it. Selling a presale for a band this big in a venue that competitive is a difficult thing to do, but even if you don't care about your own conduct and just getting tickets, I've seen these guys help countless people in the last day who but for their advice wouldn't have tickets. Seen it in other presales too. It's not in your interest to be a jerk.

Secondly, you should care about your conduct. You like this band presumably a little bit because of songs like 'one', 'Sunday bloody sunday' and 'every breaking wave' - all these songs are about being the best of yourself and forming lasting relationships. Throwing a tantrum because you don't have tickets right now when it's only 10.18 am is about as far removed from that as I can imagine. Don't let passion get the better of you.

Finally, bigwave, mich and max - thanks again for being some of the fairest, most tolerant and accessible mods I've seen in any equivalent forum. Your work is massively appreciated and far more fans here are aware of that than complain about it. Ticketmaster may be messy from time to time, but your conduct never is.

TL:DR - be kind to your mods.

  2.

Me too! I'm up the road from Twickenham and that weekend is mine and Mrs Mikes birthday weekend. It's my 29th on the 9th July and a load of my mates are coming down for it! Really excited about this gig!

    Also going Mike:)

Advance treat for a milestone birthday in Nov!

    Anj! Happy 21st!

  3. Totally blown away by how easy this process was. Thanks to U2.com and the mods as ever.

Have a feeling twickenham will be a special gig for me. It's my birthday the day after, and some of my oldest friends and Mrs Mike - whose birthday is the day before - will be there. I'm almost as old as the JT itself!

    Excited!!!

  4. Off to my 3rd and final #I&E Concert of 2015 tonight. Looking forward to it but going on own tonight which is a 1st for me .Previous two attended with Friend and Hubby( Who enjoys the shows but not the huge U2 Fan like myself and Hubby thinks I'm nuts!!!).Couldn't resist the lure of the final night and have good seat near main stage but will feel strange bopping around myself. !!! However can't wait to see what set they do tonight for their last show at the 02

Honestly, you'll love it. I spent all day at Glastonbury in front of the Pyramid stage on my own whilst at the fest with Bono-denying mates and apart from needing the loo quite badly at the end and being unable to walk, and Morrissey appearing before them in what felt like taking a sedative before taking ecstasy (metaphorical use only, I hasten to add), it was amazing. Actually in a way, you can get more into the music and it becomes quite a spiritual experience, at least for me.

    Have an absolutely amazing time.

  5. Just back at hotel, loads of crew here. Great show, what I saw of it, unfortunately for red zingers the band appear to go awol and we don't see them for ages. Great set tonite. Bono is incredible but the band loses a lot of the audience when they go for so long to the other stage, down our way we couldn't see them and pee just started chatting, texting and snogging!!!

To be fair Anj, nobody said you couldn't multitask  ;)

  6.

Also - how's this for love and fandom - my girlfriend broke her leg four months ago - and went with me, STANDING, and stood up on crutches for the whole gig. I said she could go to the back or pop out for a break but she said she wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Apart from the fact it was almost the perfect set list for me personally, the night is made even more special by her being an absolute badass.

Off tonight for my second and last show of the tour so far! With mate this time - hope it's as good as Friday

So the Legend is true...THERE are U2- couples out there .......... !!!!

She met them with me at graham Norton - she's a classical musician herself and edge is her favourite - but I think it's a successful indoctrination :)

  8. Good info Joe, may see you in London mate  :)

I'll be in London for 6 shows so be interesting to see how GA goes there, I've also heard you get let in early. I'd imagine there won't be as many entrances to the arena's unlike some stadium venues, Paris was a nightmare in 2010, it was crush central at our gate (one of many) and we were lucky to get in the pit even though we started queuing at 8am.

Put me off queuing although arenas should be different. I actually don't see the point of queuing to early as there seems to be no pit and there's quite an array of decent spots from front I stage, down the walk and the B stage or e as it will be. I'll will queue early for the first few shows but after may not depending on how it goes.

Pete - has someone grown a beard?

  9. Hey Mike - thanks!  Good to be back.  I'll be attending the first Vancouver show, the last 4 in NY and the last 4 in London; and possibly the Dublin shows when they're finally announced!

Hey ddarroch.  Appreciate you sharing the Guide.  It's meant to help fans understand what happens when they arrive at the venue, especially when they come early.  I'll update the Guide right after the Vancouver show to give you a better indication of entry procedures, the floor, etc.  Hope to see you in the GA too!

    Cheers!

    Joe

Joe - great guide, as ever. See you in London - I'm at the 30th and the 2nd shows

  10.

Enjoy your shows dcharold and yardie, pretty awesome to watch the tour develop first hand as they go. I can't afford to go to far afield but I'm doing 2 London shows and hoping for Dublin...fingers crossed my lucky streak continues!

Thanks! I'm really overdue a trip to Dublin to see family but I'm holding off until I hear the U2 dates. Is that bad? ; )

If you wait for U2, you can visit your extended family too :)

  11.

I got ticks! Did any of you guys going for the extra show get any?

AXS is so much better than ticketmaster

I tried but no such luck for me...Looking for GA for Nov 2! I was in the waiting room minutes before 9am but still none.  I couldn't log on earlier, was dropping my son at school and walking to the train station...Oh well!

This ticket sales has been horrendous this time around for me.  Only managed GA for one show.

Hope to get lucky closer to the dates and see if someone has extra tickets to sell.

    V

Sorry Van that sucks :( - I waited in the waiting room for ages then launched a new AXS in the browser and got 'em that way. I had a nightmare in the general sale last time so I feel your pain.

Cheers Anj - I have a good feeling about your dublin chances...
