  1. I saw somewhere they will play til 11:00.. unless it was in a hopeful dream I had last night!!!
  2. Gate B is at the center of the stadium (50 yard line) on the west side - field runs north - south. Stadium Map and more info from Levi Stadium. Including being able to line up at 2:00, but no entrance to stadium until 5:00 http://www.levisstadium.com/event/2017-05-17-u2-the-joshua-tree-tour/
  3. you might want to park away form the stadium, take the capital corridor or public transport to and from Levi's. then be able to get there early in the day. Public transport after the show.... When U2 was at the Oakland Coliseum several (many?) years ago they opened up the lots earlier than I think they announced... If I remember correctly. I hope they will do that that for this show...
  4. I'd take the "link" away from the stadium, then catch a cab or walk to my hotel. I'd think there should be some folks walking from the venue towards downtown. Although sometimes I meet fans around me at the shows and find out where thier driving to and ask for a ride ifn i buy them a beer. most often it works out..
  5. ifn you're gonna screem your heart out in the red zone, I can't think I'd want to be close to you for that.. I wanna hear the band !! just saying from past shows I seen, and when I've be able to get close enough to the red zone area, it looks like most people respect the artists and want to enjoy the music...
  6. now i gotta figure if i can get off at Oakland Coliseum, take the shuttle train to OAK, doze for a few hours at the airport, and catch an early morning flight...
  7. the above link didn't open for me... http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/01/12/no-curfew-extension-for-u2-at-levis-stadium/ and yet the capital corridor added a late train http://www.capitolcorridor.org/whats-new/capitol-corridor-run-special-late-night-train-may-17-u2-concert-levis-stadium/ what should i believe about closing time??
  8. If my mind isn't playing tricks on me... or I'm having flashbacks... for the Grateful Dead 50th shows at Levi Stadium, people were tailgating (in the lots that allow tailgating) most of the day, and lined up when the spirit moved them...
  9. This from Centurylink Field Website: EVENT TIMELINE FOR MAY 14, 2017 10 AM | Northwest (NW) Stadium Box Office Opens Visit for Will Call, Ticket Sales, or Customer Service Inquiries 3 PM | CenturyLink Field Event Center Box Office Opens Visit for Customer Service Inquiries only 9 AM | CenturyLink Field Event Center Parking Garage Opens (parking $50) Tailgating is not permitted 5 PM | Premium and Stadium Gates Open Early lineup is not permitted 6:30 PM | Show Begins 11 PM | Show Ends (expected end time) Most Stadiums have adopted these policies Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″. One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar). Small clutch bags, that do not exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″, with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options. Don't quite understand: parking lot opens at 9am, no tailgating, no line up...
  10. I can't remember the Pepsi center every handing out wristbands, unless they did once for Springsteen where only 300 or so were handed out, then one number was randomly picked to be the start of the line for entry... Line up has been to the south of arena; it is Colorado, so many people there are enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of the Front Range, just sayin'. Also with Red Zoners seeming to claim first rail spots, I'm not sure it makes a lot of sense to stay in line from 5:00am or 7:00am on. Mid afternoon should get a pretty decent spot a couple people off the rail... There's not a lot around; a bar/restaurant, one hotel, although a 10-15 minute walk will get you to some food/bars/groceries...
  11. received this: GA Ticket Buyers: Guests who have purchased General Admission floor tickets may pick-up a numbered wristband beginning at 9:00 am each show day on 1st Street & Madison. Must provide a receipt or present the credit card used to purchase tickets in order to receive the wristband. Any ticket to a concert, event or basketball game at US Airways Center scores you a FREE Rail Ride roundtrip to and from downtown on the day of the event! and wristbands will be handed out 'til about 5:00, afterwhich people will just get in line behind the wristbanded fans.. My understanding is that wristbands will be handed out in random, non-sequential order, so someone arriving at 9:00 might have a higher number than someone arriving at 9:30....
  12. OTHER DOWNTOWN EVENTS THIS WEEKEND > The Arizona Diamondbacks have baseball games on Friday (6:40pm) and Saturday (7:10pm). . Phoenix Symphony is performing Mahler each evening at 7:30. Many bars/restaurants might be busy with various types of fans . Expect to hear "U2" songs as well as "Take Me out to the Ballgame", but probably not an aria... Plan your parking or arrival time accordingly. . Most on street parking meters allow 2 hours paid parking ($1.50/hour) with enforcement 'til 10:00pm_ At least the Diamondbacks haven't been sold out this season Chase Field and US Airways Arena are practically next door to each other. Symphony Hall is a couple blocks away.
  13. This sounds great... if you are in town before 9am and wish to get a wrist band. If you arrive at 1:00pm, will somebody still be handing out wristbands, or will there be a lineup of people without wristbands waiting to get in (after those with the 9am wristbands are admitted?) If wristbands aren't handed out throughout the day, what time would the wtistband distribution cease?
