Also, I don't know if this was the case for the other cities, but this specific shirt seems to run small.

I normally wear a large, but, in close consultation with the vendor, we agreed that XL would probably be better for me - she was right. A regular large would have been a bit too snug.

Did anyone else make the same observation?

Thanks for the info about the shirts. Sadly, by the time I arrived, they only had small and mediums left, and I wanted an XL (well, I was getting an L, until reading about your experience).

I can't complain too much, as I got into the venue for the first time at like 8:20, so just enough time to check merch, visit the boys room, and then get onto the floor right before they started playing. As per usual, showing up as late as humanly possible put me directly behind people who had been queuing all day and had numbers on their wrists in the middle of the walkway between both stages... I never bothered getting that close for i+e, so I figured I'd do it this time, and was ridiculously close to Edge and Larry at times. Fun night.

If anyone has an extra shirt, hit me up, or I'll just... forget about it, heh.

Now I have a hip injury that will make it almost impossible to stand through the concert and I dont know what to do because I am traveling to DC and apparently am not allowed to sell mine so I could by different seated tix on the secondary market.

If you're still going to that show, doesn't seem like an issue. You can just find someone who wants your GA tickets, buy your new tickets, and just enter the venue with them and scan your card?

The only problem with fan-only GA is that the tickets still manage to go on sale for thousands of dollars ($4000 for the PJ show at my city was the lowest price)

Those aren't fan-club tickets. You don't get anything in advance if you're in the fan club. You have to pick it up with ID the day of the show, non-transferable. Just like people complained on here with GA showing up online, every venue has a small number of tickets for season ticket holders to sporting events, etc., that don't have any of the rules of the band, etc.

  4. That doesn't seem to be an option so I will sell them on Ticketmaster for whatever they are going for.

You can hate me but this is how the system was set up.  If my only way of getting rid of them is by selling on TM, why should I sell them for less than the going rate?

You won't be able to resell CCE tickets. Click the Sell button and it will tell you that...

  5. It's really hard to believe that in this day and age it's not possible to remove your CC info from an E-TICKET and resell that ticket to someone else...I don't buy it.

It's possible. The whole point of CC Entry is to limit the amount of scalpers buying and reselling tickets for way over face. Ticketmaster can turn that off for the whole tour with the flip of a switch. They won't (and shouldn't). But they can...

  6. I haven't really compared the two periods qualitatively, but I always feel that live Bono emotionally connects with what he is singing, and while I don't recall a moment where I heard a sour note or longed for the past, it always sort of brings me in to enjoy it. I'm not the same when I heard it in 1987, either, so we're both bringing decades of experience to bear on the material. If it was about hoping he hit all the notes perfectly in the same keys, and there was no emotion behind it... then I'd stay home.

  7. But if you have RZ why don't you leave people who can't go here and there to have there spot in GA inner circle pit or whatever??? Sounds unfair. I hope this time people with RZ ticket must stay there

Who said they were leaving RZ, though? There is a rail at the front of RZ against the main stage, a rail connecting to the B stage, and a rail at the B stage... Unless you really want to be near Adam, seems like there's no reason to leave RZ.

  8. I think if you are spending that much money fans expect more than a minimal stage like he described it as probably being.

I don't think he said that at all... he just doesn't want to say anything in advance. I mean, if you look at the i+e stage, it was completely minimal...

  9. The problem with this dissection of the timeline is it takes place in a vacuum, and isn't addressing that ticket prices for every band went up primarily because of people pirating their albums and bands making far less revenue from their catalog than ever before, so touring has become the one area where they can still hold the line on financials. Add ticket prices for other bands in, add Napster in, etc., etc., and then it would be a more complete picture. It also excludes the fact that $50 on the Pop Mart isn't being adjusted over time, and assuming that $50 then and now are the same values, which isn't true. Not that this is unusual, Hollywood never uses adjusted numbers, either, or else no movie would ever bring in more box office than Gone With The Wind.

  10. It is highly unlikely this will come up. When they are scanning cards in at these events, they almost never check IDs or look at names. They scan the card, the tickets print out of their little machine, and you go in... There are tens of thousands of people trying to get in around the same time, they aren't going to look at IDs.
