  1. Redzone you usually get to stand next to various celebrities if your lucky and thats your thing. Mrs Bono, Noel Gallagher, Bob Geldoff and Chris Martin were graced by my prescence. Dont do the crass selfie thing with them though, theyre justhaving a night out

I was near Bababooey and Jessie Eisenberg in NYC, that was about it.

  2. Not exactly.  TM distinguishes "transferring" from "reselling"--so to be clear, TM should have simply said that neither transferring or reselling would be possible.

Yes, but usually tickets that can't be resold can be transferred. So, it seems a bit of a stretch to think that a ticket that you can't even transfer to a friend could be sold to a stranger (and if that were the case, imagine the uproar on here! heh). This restriction was the same as I+E (except for us people in NY at the time), no?

Just not clear why the same set-up is shocking this time... I specifically bought one ticket to shows where I didn't know if people would join me, since I knew I'd be stuck with them, have to meet with people to all go in together... was too much hassle, so I just bought one for me, heh. People who couldn't decide in time? Oh well, too late... I bought'm already.

  3. If you got a GA floor ticket for an arena show, especially one like I+E where they used the whole length of the arena, there would be some point at which you would be within 30 feet of all band members throughout the night... in a stadium, unless you're really into queuing up, RZ is the only way to know you will be close to the band/stage. I did both this time, so I will see them from RZ and get up close and do all that good stuff, without queuing early, and then 11 days later, I will see them GA also without queuing, but I am going into that without trying to get close to the stage/band and just taking in the whole experience...

  4. And finally--apparently even fans who bought SEATS in presale can't resell them!! (vs. seats bought in public onsale, which can).  This causes tons of people major problems, particularly because the FAQ said nothing about that (only mentions no transfers).

That's what non-transferrable means, though. You can't transfer them, for free or for money, to anyone else.

  5. Every page said that credit card entry tickets were not transferrable. The tickets being sold (seats further away, tickets sold through venue pre-sales to people with season passes to sports events, etc.) are not credit card entry tickets, so those people can sell theirs.

  6. Not overly concerned, no. I saw I+E 4 times and had a blast. I'll see these shows and have a great time. And if the band has to put tickets onsale in advance of knowing exactly what they are doing, then it just means we will be surprised when it happens. If the stage is shaped like a Joshua Tree and it is called the Joshua Tree Live Tour and all interviews so far mention The Joshua Tree.... seems like they are somewhat committed to their version of what it means to celebrate the anniversary. And we'll find out soon enough...

  7. In a lot of cases, people with season passes to the sporting events in arenas/stadiums have their own presales for any other entertainment event that also comes through, and are sent hard tickets. The fact that most StubHub listings are UPS delivery seem to indicate this is likely the case. Of course, a lot of season passes at these venues are purchased by... you guessed it, scalpers! But it isn't really anything U2 can combat, since it is built into the contracts with the venues.
