  1. The original layout only showed the catwalk and RZ- majority of people guessed that the RZ were also indicating the main stage- which they were not. If you google United Center seating- the concerts that have a main stage all show the main stage situated at the 116-118 side of the arena.  This will be where the "i" stage will be.  The "e" stage will be at 105-107.

Both 116 and 108 are at the goal end- I would probably pick 108 as that will move your away from the absolute ends and probably give you a better angle to see the screen, and you will have a very good view of the set on the "e" stage as well as good sight line to the "i" stage.  But, that's just me :)

  2. This actually shows I stage (versus just catwalk). So it depends if you interpreted the first set up as having RZ by main stage-which a lot of people did. It confirmed my guess (based on how other concerts were shown) but I think a lot of people thought the main stage was where the e stage is.

  3. Just curious—what made you think 101 would face the stage and 118 would be behind? From where they display the Red Zones, I always figured 118 would face it and 101 would be behind. It's cool that they're willing to swap your tickets, though! Did they make you pay the difference if the new tix were more expensive?

General thought has been that the RZ on the Ticketmaster sites actually more represents the "e" stage (as they have moved the RZ since the TM seating charts).  Forum also shows most "main stage" concerts with the stage with 118 behind in- so the general thought has been that load in and the "i" stage would be on that side, the ramp is the rectangle shown on the TM site, and the RZ is the "e" stage.  This has pretty much held true for VAN, SJ, and PHX.

  4. 226 looks like it is directly behind the goal- and would thus, be directly inline with the screen. I imagine that is why it is says limited view- you will not be able to see the screen.

Did see, on Twitter, a person getting moved in Phoniex tonight due to being directly behind.

  5. The main stage would be where the arena shows stages for concert seating (that would be the preferred load in side of the arena) and then the ramp and e stage would go from there. Looking at images section 107 would be directly behind the i stage.

  6. Looking at seating- if your closer to 309 you may not be able to see the screen, if your closer to 311 your odds will go up- but I think your still at a pretty tight angle to see the big screen (although should have great view of the "e" stage).  I've heard several accounts of people going to customer service and saying that they are (will be) unable to see the screen and asking if it is possible to get another seat, all have reported that they were given other seats (one directly center ice and perfect view).

  7. sorry...no help :(    My friend and I  are both flying in so we plan to bus/taxi in and then bus out.   Plan is to get there early for show one and hang out around the arena.  Show two we will get there closer to show time after touring the city :)

In all fairness, I reckon Bono's injuries would have a bearing on what they can and can't play. You can pretty much write off The Fly or any other song requiring rhythm guitar. They'll tinker with the setlist to see what works and what doesn't. Vertigo went from being the How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb tour to the 18 Singles tour (only around four new songs at some shows towards the end). 360 went from being the No Line On The Horizon tour to a greatest hits tour to the Achtung Baby 20th Anniversary tour.

    It'll get better.

I have to disagree about 'The fLy' and the Bman playing rhythm guitar.

if you watch ZOO TV Sydney closely, Bono hardly plays his guitar and when he does play a chord it's low in the mix.

'The fLy' can be played without the Bman putting on a guitar, I've always seen it as an accessory on him.

don't everyone hate me at once, but Bono is a lousy guitar player *runs away*

I agree, I don't think the injuries has as much of an impact on what he can/can't play- they could easily make up any true guitar playing needed and I think the guitar becomes part of the persona more than adding anything sonically.

That said.. the injuries very likely did come into play with rehearsing etc.   He is coming off of massive rehab (and is probably still doing rehab as he travels) it is quite remarkable to pull off an opening show spectacular they way they have with just over a month of rehearsal.   I think that has more of an impact... if they had two-three months of rehearsal time then there may have been more of an dynamic change from Van1 and Van2.     IMHO :)
