The NHL may throw a monkey wrench into that though. Playoffs could go through late June and Hawks will be in contention for playoffs- maybe not finals- they may have to wait till playoff picture is better before United will open up days?

Chicago though could be tricky with NHL playoffs. Very conceivable for the Hawks to make it finals and games still being played in late June. I suspect that is why they only have a commitment of two days. Additional days may not be added till May when play off picture is clearer.

But you don't know that the main stage won't be the by the Redzone either? I'd think that the Redzone is going to be getting pretty good show so sitting across by them should still be okay. Or at least not worry/be mad about it until there is actual evidence to do so- after reports from the Vancouver shows. JMHO

Edge said they will all be "U2" shows and essentially not to worry, but they won't be the exact same thing each night. My guess is they threw out the "all acousitc" idea (they really never confirmed it would be that) but rather while have two different stories/voices that tie the songs together. One night may be the innocence voice the other experience- with each show having 90% same set list with changes in the remaining 10%.

At least that's what I'm telling myself so I don't stress over it for 5-6 months!

Yeah, it's a very interesting stage. My theory is (and it's just that, my crazy idea that I came up with) that Larry's drum riser will rotate like it did last tour and that the stage will be like some crazy huge conveyor belt and the band will move up and down it and everyone gets a more intimate experience.

Got home and logged on at 10.30pm UK time via "Virgin Media" ISP ... got through straight away to AXS (O2 ticket vendor) pre-sales portal and this time it asked for access code PRIOR to ticket shaping and selection ... I have purchased 2 tickets for Mon 26 Oct ... still plenty on sale ,,, this VPN "tunnelbear" issue needs highlighting on FAQ's .. thanks for all the support today ... The membership does not guarantee tickets. It gives you the opportunity. The moderators worked their ass off to assist after hours and really seem to try and accommodate. They perform a thankless job and are probably rarely thanked and always take the heat from unhappy members who post a new thread stating their dissatisfaction with the tickets they received. These things are in Live Nation's hands as well........not U2. There was never any ticket guarantee of 4 tickets total....or per venue. U2.com does not run your internet provider, your skills at copping tickets, etc. U2.com is not going to place golden tickets on a satin pillow for you just because you are a member or did the recent membership (which would then be a silver pillow). You can get that from the VIP packages it looks like though. So if you want that treatment you actually have to pay for it. U2 is not going to magically stop ticket touts. Season ticket holders at venues get tickets too as well as touts subscribing here probably (imagine that). But they are trying and actually did what many wanted in regards to the paperless tickets.

 

It would be nice to appreciate what we have. I am happy to be going to Boston and seeing them. The little lady had to do the purchasing and she is not remotely skilled at how to be quick about these things. If she got us good tickets.....I don't know what to tell the rest of the complainers. But I am HAPPY to be going and appreciate the code provided to us.

Sure it took me longer then I would have liked yesterday, but that's not the mods fault or U2's. I doubt the mod have gotten very little sleep or even eaten dealing with last minutes subscriptions, pre-sale etcetera. And after it's said and done I think- first world problems- I'm pretty lucky that my biggest stress yesterday was for a little over an hour trying to get tickets.

considering how many seats are showing available in less populated venues (like Phoenix and San Jose) I'm not banking on availability in larger cities like Chicago and LA which are showing very little availability. At a minimum I wouldn't characterize it as 'plenty of seats for all sections at all shows' will be available (unless you care to offer a reason for such certainty).

I would concur.   Chicago is going to be a major draw, it's the only thing in the Midwest, with fairly cheap tickets from Detroit, Cleveland, Columbus, Minneapolis, etc.   I think it will sell out quickly on Monday.   Perhaps the one thing going for people is I think a LOT of people don't realize the tour has been announced if they were not following things.  I think many thought it would be delayed due to Bono's accident and may have stopped looking for news (thinking they would start looking in Jan again).  I have a lot of friends that were surprised when I mentioned I was going yesterday.

not sure- but I did just get an email from LN with a link to buy tickets, because they say I was interested in Chicago June 25th    I didn't even click all the way through for fear it would trigger something since linked to my account.  

My only concern regarding this is how often I was one screen away from an order confirmation page, and hoping Ticketmaster wouldn't have marked it as used before that last step. But today, their site still shows I have two single tickets for two MSG shows in NYC, so I think it all worked out. Certainly wasn't a deliberate misuse, though...

^^ same here, but Chicago.   Assuming since only two tickets and ultimately only one full confirmation/you are going page that I'm good.

I have no idea. Ticketmaster purchase is on my bank statement but when i logged into my ticketmaster account my payment information is all of a sudden blank. I think this is it for me for trying to go to another U2 show. Im fed up

so, do you know for sure that it was cancelled?   It could be that Ticketmaster is just in a massive glitch at the moment (probably a really, really good chance of that right now!!!)   Maybe call in and check??

if your trying to get in from outside the US your IP is likely blocked, I know that was an issue with those trying to buy Europe/UK tickets and I think I saw the same for someone outside NA trying to get tickets-  try using VPN

Depends if your set on getting GA or are good with other seats.  I would look for something "official" from mods saying something is sold out.   I don't trust what TM says after an hour of no availability yesterday and then row 10 seats.   Don't give up easily

Keep trying!!   Many of us tried for 1-2 hours yesterday and repetitively got "no availability".  I would keep trying and not give up until you see something from one of the mods saying a particular date/venue is sold out.   JMHO.

I'd say keep going until you see/hear from a mod that there it is sold out.   Ticketmaster gave LOTS of "no availability" yesterday when there obviously was.
