  2. thank you for posting that link. keep in mind that the Phillies play at Citizens Bank Park the same day at 1:35pm. I know they arent good right now but Fathers day / Sunday games bring in bigger crowds. expect parking to be a nightmare as the Phillies game will end around 4. everyone getting to the stadium complex for U2 will be encountering phillies fans leaving. It could be a rough going. for those arriving early to queue this should not be an issue.
  3. things would be so much easier if there was no "check in" system and people (everyone in your party) just showed up at 6am day of the show and started to line up then.
  4. habs6011,

How do I not know you yet? We've been to so many of the same shows, probably standing within the same 3 square yards, we both live on the NOVA side of the DC Metro area. It seems odd that I don't know you -- or maybe I do, and I just haven't put your face together with your U2.com handle. Anyway, thanks for checking up on the parking situation at FedEx field for us. You seem like the kind of person who should run the GA line that day. Thoughts? Need a partner?

Hi Yvonne, Thank you for writing me. Im sure we have at least seen each other if we have been to as many of the same shows. and who knows maybe we will run into each other next month. I will be in Pittsburgh, Philly and DC. Im still trying to find out more info for the GA line at Fedex field. No luck so far. The bad news is I will not be able to queue all night and day for this one. I live too far away now to be able to commit my time to that this year. As for being the kind of person to run the GA line, I wouldnt wish that on anyone to be honest. I think the venue security should be the ones to do that, not fans. Just my opinion. haha.

if you are going to any of the shows im going to let me know and I will try to meet up with you. :-)

  5. Quick Update on the parking situation for Fed-Ex Field show. As i mentioned above the "gray lot" is indeed the ONLY cash only lot being advertised at the moment by Fed-Ex field. No info on opening time for this lot. will keep checking. Cash ParkingAccessible cash parking operated by the Washington Redskins is located off of Brightseat Road in the Gray Lot. Please use Arena Drive to access Brightseat Rd.
  6. Check out the Boulevard at the Capitol Centre, This is a town center shopping and dinning area a mile away from FedEx field. Lots of options for you http://www.shopcapcentre.com/dine
  7. back in 2009 for the 360 tour, Parking fee was actually included in the ticket price. ($8) Dan Snyder is obviously not doing that anymore. hes gotta milk every damn dollar he can out of us. $50 + fees is down right criminal. At any rate, in 2009 i got there at about 10:30am. I had heard there was one lot open for GA folks, not knowing where that lot was i just pulled up to the stadium and saw all lots were closed and not opening until 3pm. Gates were closed and big signs that said 3pm opening. I asked a lot attendant who was turning cars away where to go. They directed me to the Grey Lot on Brightseat Road. (Google maps has a nice view of the Grey Lot) Once i found that lot it wasnt a problem. just a long walk to the GA line from there. Thankfully the queue was on the same side of the stadium as the parking lot. My suggestion is (and what im going to do) in April sometime i will be calling Fed-Ex Field and asking them what the parking procedure is for GA ticket holders and if cash payment for parking is acceptable upon arrival. They may not know details until then or might not even know at that point but if not, Ill call back weekly and find out. Another option if you are driving and not taking Metro. (Ill be driving) if they are NOT opening lots early, there are two metro stops "near by". The Morgan blvd metro station has a small parking lot, and is probably going to be monitored (not recommended to park there, even though its closer to the stadium). The other is the Largo Town Center Station. This has two 4 level parking garages, while it will cost you money to park there it will be much cheaper than the $50 at the stadium. Also keep in mind that this is about a mile and a half walk to the stadium. I would trust my car here in this parking garage or an actual stadium lot. I would feel hesitant about parking my car anywhere else in the area surrounding Fed-Ex Field. Hope this helps and if anyone finds out any info please post here. I will do the same.
  8. Yes, I've heard that from others too. I think the fact that the show is on a Wednesday is the most likely culprit for the slow sales. I bet the sales will pick up when the show is closer to happening. I just hope that the Pirates don't have a home game on the same night - that would create a disaster for finding parking... Show on Wednesday (versus the Sat CLE show which is easy to travel for) as well as the CLE show in general likely pulled many people that would have traveled from Ohio, Mich to Pitt decided to go to CLE instead. Once people who missed CLE tickets realize they can go to Pitt the seats will sell. Have so many local CLE people tell me they are so upset that tickets sold out here that had no idea the band has a show in Pitt. no doubt this is true. Sat > Wed on every account. According to ticketmaster i see over 3700 GA tickets still available for this show!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!! thats crazy. Either way i have no doubt the tix will sell in the coming months leading up to the show.

Agree 100% that sales will pick up as time goes on and will be as close to "sold out" as it can be by June. The Pirates are on the road that night so we dont have to worry about that. Looking forward to going back to Pittsburgh.
  10. See you all on the floor in Pittsburgh, Philly & DC.
  11. Got 2 GA in the general sale in 2 min on Tuesday morning. (used my Presale code for other shows) This show is by far the worst selling of all shows, not just in North America. GA's still available.
  12. I agree with you 100%. The last thing i want to see is the same people on stage over and over and over again. cool, they had their moment but how about someone who hasnt had that moment they've dreamed of. And there is no surprise in the winners so far. U2 should have just handpicked them, invited them and let it be a surprise when they showed up on stage Saturday night. Instead there many disappointed life long fans. It is like a clique in High School. You're absolutely right. Its like everyone who hangs out in the "popular hallway" in high school. Seeing who some of the winners are, they will be on stage for a 3rd or 4th time. What a joke this whole contest was. I hope they enjoy taking this to a higher level of status symbol on social media. These fans who were chosen are no bigger fans then the rest of us they are just the popular ones who self promoted themselves. UGH!!!

  14. Id bet they will be back in the States late in the fall of 2016. I dont think U2 would just ignore the southern portion of the USA. The closest show to me was NYC and im in VA. No shows south of NYC on the east coast was an absolute slap in the face to all U2 fans in that region of the country. I hope they stop the 4+ shows in each city also. 2 is the max they should do if they stay in arenas. I look for them to come back and play places like Philadelphia, DC, Atlanta, Miami, Nashville / memphis, Dallas / Houston, Detroit. places that didnt have much close. if they dont come back and play these cities it will make alot of great longtime fans very upset.
