  1. I have a feeling there will be an unofficial line until the actual line can line up. No idea where it would be.
  2. Age: 27 Number of U2 shows: 3 (will be 6 by the end of this tour leg) First was in 2005 for the Vertigo tour in Houston (first concert ever, at the age of 16) Second was in 2009 for the 360 tour in Houston Third was in 2015 for the I+E tour in Boston Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth will be Houston, Dallas, and Chicago on this tour.
  3. 11am? Hmm, wonder where the unofficial line will be until then. UPDATE: I received a response,as well, from NRG park. It's pretty much the same information at brupars has listed above. Thank you for contacting NRG Park! General Admission queuing for U2 will take place as follows: · Parking Gate 9, located on the corner of Kirby Drive and Westridge, will open at 11:00am on the day of the show. Parking is $20 per space, cash-only, with no in-and-out privileges. I have attached a parking map to this email so you may locate Gate 9. · Line queuing will begin at 1:00pm in Bud Light Plaza on the south side of NRG Stadium. · GA entrance will be through the Ford and Amegy Gates. Ticket scanning in these locations is slated to open at 5:00pm.
  4. Sorry for your lost. I lost my Mom in March 2015. We went to U2 shows together; she took me to my first concert, which was U2. Getting the energy to go to the show was hard that yr, but I felt motivated in life again after going. It was like I was there in memory of her, with her memory. It was truly a spiritual experience. I was her only child. It's tough.
  5. I'm driving in from Houston on the Thurs following the Houston show and was concerned about the line process, as well. So, they are saying come at 6am and line up at 2pm or line up the whole time? I remember the process in Boston last tour and I loved it! If it's like that, that would be perfect. I would love not to sit in the TX sun two days in a row. Wonder what the NRG plans on doing? I should ask. I hope to make some GA line friends. Going at it alone for 3 shows.
  6. What time are people planning to line up in the GA?
  7. It's credit card entry, only. It doesn't give me the option to transfer or sale
  8. Last time it was the entrance facing 610. I don't know what the name of the entrance is. Maybe South?
  9. How can someone sell a GA ticket? I don't want to travel to Dallas just to let someone in, because if that is the case, I might as well just attend the show.
  10. Heard an ad for the Houston show on 95.7 FM this morning. Guess tickets are still available. They will sell out before the show, I'm sure.
  11. GA for Houston, Dallas, and Chicago. This is my first time doing multiple dates in one tour. Feeling blessed.
  12. Where are all the Houston fans hiding? I feel like Houston isn't really a U2 town.
  13. I wanted to see the PopMart tour when I was in high school but I was living with my grandmother for a while and she wouldn't let me fly back to attend with my boyfriend - epic sads for us, it sounds like it was a GREAT show. But it does sound like your mom certainly made up for it. I'm glad you have such good memories with her and I'll think of you two in Chicago. <3It was pretty funny how she turned down the PopMart tour. I was watching TV when an ad for the tour came on. It was very colorful (it was showing a bit of the "Discotheque" video) and I was amazed. I grabbed the closest notepad and pen I could find to write down the date and venue for Houston when I saw it scroll down the screen. I think the date was either October or November 28, 1997, almost 8 years to the day I finally saw them. Anyway, I went running into the bathroom with the notepad to show my Mom. I was sure she needed to know! Lol She was washing her face and I came in saying "Mommy, I saw these guys on TV and they have a show coming to town on this day and it looks really fun! Can we go?" She stopped, looked at the date on the paper, and said "No, I have to work that night!" I did the sad walk back to my room. I don't know if I even knew what I was looking at when I saw that ad, but it looked cool. Will you be at the Chicago show? It's so weird how we remember things like that and learn starting there. Like I said, I just remember that big poster hanging over my aunt's bed and here I am. It's also pretty funny that we were both thwarted on that tour by ladies in charge. : ) It seriously looked like she was gonna go for it for a minute and then, no, nothing. It was very sad. But here we are today and that's pretty awesome. : ) I will be! Ticketmaster snafus aside, I should be good to go - which ones are you heading to? The random memories are the ones that somehow last. I'll be in Houston, Dallas, and Chicago. Woo!

  15. Just saying "Hello". Been here since 2004, despite what the date says on my profile. I don't like my screen name, but it sounded cool in 2004 when I was 15. Lol I've been a fan since 2004. I realized at that time that I liked their songs all along, before I knew who sang them. Well, I went through a period in 1998-2000 when I didn't like them because I thought Bono was annoying and I called him "squatty man". That has passed now! Haha I wanted to see PopMart tour when I was 7, which my Mom turned down. She made it up and took me to my first show ever in 2005, the Houston show on the Vertigo tour. I was hooked on concerts after that. Seen plenty of bands since then, but only have seen U2 3x. Going to see them 3x this year to make up for lost time. The last time I saw U2 in Boston on the I+E tour was bittersweet because my Mom, who was my concert buddy, wasn't there. She passed in March of that year, just a mere 2 days before her birthday. I was on autopilot going to the show, just to escape the pain. However, and this might sound cheesy, when I got there, I realized that life can still be good. Not perfect, not the way it ever was, but I can go on. I wish I could thank Bono in person for letting me share the stage with them because it meant so much. I felt like my Mom was there, in that moment. I wish she was here for the Joshua Tree tour. She would've loved it. I'm going to take her with me in my heart so she can still enjoy it. OK, I'll stop making this sad. Carry on.
  16. Is there a website to buy parking or what? How about if you get there in the morning?
  17. The price dropped a bit on the per night price at the place I booked. Gonna see if it drops anymore before I change my booking. It's outside of downtown, though.
  18. I wish, but I doubt it. Us Texans always get passed over on multiple dates.
  19. I think what Boston did was a venue thing, which I liked. Less time in the sun.
  20. Got GA today! Elated to see them at home this time.
  21. Does any kind soul here have 1 spare GA ticket to either Dublin show? Please and thank you.
  22. I don't know HOW people get tickets to multiple shows. Sometimes they get GA tickets. What sorcery is that?
