  1. Earlier in this thread there are pix of the floor with the red zone and what it looks like.
  2. Someone BIT YOUR FINGER??? That's just creepy and, ew. Anyway, glad you had fun, that's good to know. Was there any kind of dedicated concessions stands the way it was promised? And what time did you get on line, oh, and was it a separate line for RZ? I There was a concessions stand in the RZ area, but it closed down early on in the show. The general concessions stand had an express line for RZ and VIP folks, though! There is a separate check-in area for RZ, apart from GA and VIP. I didn't line up before they opened the doors, I just got there around 6:50pm, and there were only a few folks getting their wristbands. I was still close to the main stage, though not on the railing. Hope that helps! Very helpful, yes, thanks!

  4. To anyone who went already, how did the line work, was it a separate line from GA? You have to get there and then stay there right, there's no getting a wristband with a number or any of that stuff? I wonder though will it vary from venue to venue?
  5. I have it marked off with arrows on the right and also the left.
  6. This is all great and tx for that pic too!!
  7. Yes. Anytime. And return anytime.RZers got 2 wristbands : one red and one for the south or north GA, depending on which RZ you're in Aha! Ok, thanks. Very interesting. Was everyone packed in like sardines in GA, or Red Zone, for that matter?
  8. so there it is!! Thanks! Did anyone in GA give you a hard time when you went to e-stage? Was everyone in GA and RZ moving all over the place the whole show?
  9. LOL, Matt. It sounds like it, but hopefully by the time we get to our shows, we'll know that for positively absolutely sure from people who have done it and lived to tell the tale.
  10. I'm not surprised, nor do I think RZ should have any monopoly on the front rail--but of course, that's just my opinion as well. RZ for the 360 tour had no front rail contact at all--it was only around the outer sides of the ellipse catwalk. So IMHO, current RZers should count themselves as lucky. Plus, don't forget (although this is not advertised), RZ can go into regular GA (and come back) if they want, and usually RZ is let in around the same time as regular GA--so RZers have a great shot at basically anywhere they want to be. Well if we really can go wherever we want, that's fine, but even though I've paid a lot more to be in RZ than the GA have paid, I personally would still be uncomfortable "taking" a spot at the rail in the GA section from someone who might have been on line outside for a day or even more.
  11. Any other Red Zoners who went already who want to weigh in with their experiences? I think we're all pretty much looking for the same info: when did you get there, was there a lot of people in front of you already when you arrived, was it really 50 in each side like they first said, were you able to move around in the section at ease or was it packed, did everyone shift their spots around as the band went back and forth from e stage to main stage, that kinda thing.....thanks in advance!
  12. They utilize the entire stage Bono ventures to the e a lot. The band moves from their ad spots to the middle & end - e stage. no matter the side, if you're on the floor, GA or Red, there will be entire songs you wont see the band. Many always covet the front rail, this tour in a way destroys that. They work the entire arena. I actually think the seats may have the best view this time around. That said I loved being up close & respected that I'd have to share the band with the entire audience. They don't interact with RED zone, Bono only really does that with GA at the E stage. Though he did recognize the we got your back kid who was at the I catwalk & pulled him up which was awesome. I love that he recognizes fans. I do swear i caught he & Adam definitely looking right at me on a number of occasions. I was at front rail. Check my Twitter & Instagram for photos, links in profile. I'll also post more, here also, when I get home & get the good stuff off my camera. thanks for the info.
  13. well, we didn't want dissecting the concert itself, just the details of the Red Zone, since it's not what we thought it would be. So we're just looking for info like when she got there, was it packed, how close will we be able to get to them, that kinda thing, that's all.
  14. yes, I read that somewhere, that they decided to just have the two halves of the show be different, as opposed to two different shows altogether.
  15. I'm on Edge's side too for 7/31, so excited, even though it sounds like it won't be exactly what I was expecting, but I'll still be close so that's great.
  16. The setlist has where the song is played, I saw pix of the setlist all over the place, but don't have any links. Sorry! perhaps even on here somewhere, or Twitter maybe? http://www.hotpress.com/U2/news/GALLERY-U2-get-tour-underway-in-Vancouver/14032658.html
  17. And how early did you get there? I heard from someone else the lines were all screwed up for GA and Red Zone.
  18. Yay, I'm on Edge's side!!
  19. someone go tell Vancouver to wake up!!
  20. laurabw

    GA left vs right

    lol! Isn't Ticketmaster so reassuring!
  21. damn time zone differences!
  22. DYING to know...any Red Zoners awake yet???? Tell us!
  23. But, we only get at the rail on the main stage and nowhere else, it looks like.
  24. from said article in NYT: "The initial idea was to work up two entirely different concerts, but U2 worried about leaving out staples or having fans think they’d gotten the second-best show. As of last week, it planned instead to have a relatively fixed first half and a varying second one — separated, for the first time on a U2 tour, by an intermission. The band is also planning to work the entire room. Running nearly the length of the coliseum floor was U2’s triple platform: a large rectangular stage (a strip of which could light up as “I” for Innocence), a smaller round stage (“e” for experience) and, between them, a walkway that’s wide enough to become a third stage, sometimes sandwiched between LED video screens. “Here they are in an arena, and we want to land them in the audience’s lap,” said Es Devlin, the production designer, who has also done tours by Kanye West and Lady Gaga."
