  1. Should probably post this elsewhere but I know for a fact those of us who just spent the week in Dublin, or part of it, from all over the world, got to bear witness to some extraordinary events last week. Concentration is very difficult but the love I felt from meeting new friends and old, the camaraderie, the shows, the interaction with the guys in the band, all of it -- you just can't explain it to someone if you weren't there. And I have a new level of appreciation for every man in that band just from a few little interactions and actions on their parts. At the heart of all of this I think is the fact is probably the most obvious -- this band is about affirming the power of love and life over all other contenders. Never have I felt that as deeply as I have this past week, despite having seen many many other shows over the year. Just saying what I suspect many are feeling today and wanted to give a huge global hug and thanks to the incredible fan community, and the band. The Jacques Brel song has been in my head all day... Ne me quitte pas Il faut oublier Tout peut s'oublier Qui s'enfuit deja Oublier le temps Des malentendus Et le temps perdu A savoir comment Oublier ces heures Qui tuaient parfois A coups de pourquoi Le coeur du bonheur Ne me quitte pas Ne me quitte pas Ne me quitte pas Ne me quitte pas Big love, one love to you all.
  2. You can go anywhere in GA though if you have MZ tickets correct? Same as RZ anywhere else... in other words... get in, and go for a space on the GA rail rather than hanging out in MZ. Can someone pls confirm -- this is how RZ has been everywhere else. Also -- can anyone confirm that MZ is let in at same time (6:30) as GA? Or a few minutes slightly after to let the first 100 or so GA fans in?
  3. I have 2 seats in the H section, tickets in hand. Would like to swap for a single MZ for tomorrow (Tuesday)
  4. GA started yesterday -- we got numbers at 4, then a check in at 6 am this morning, then another checkin at 10 -- starbucks by the Gifford by the arena. Cue will prob start right away (10) for GA (: See you tonight
  5. Spoke too soon -- just got my email. SEE YOU ALL IN DUBLIN <3
  6. Resolved -- got it -- I must learn patience (: HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL IN DUBLIN <3
  7. Hey guys, I'm a bit worried as I have [confirmed] MZ tickets for Friday and Saturday night. This happened to me in NYC with RZ as well and Emma+some community folks here helped. Not sure why I don't have the mails yet as my friends going MZ have rec'd them. Any advice??
  8. Hi all I have Dublin MZ tickets for 3 and 4 but have not yet recieved the email with directions yet like some of the other MZ folks have. This happened to me in New York also (forever grateful to Emma for helping me out there). Can anyone help? Im traveling Sat SFO-DUB and want to make sure I know where Im going before the madness starts (: Thanks Adrienne
  9. Hello I have 2 seats in block P row 33 Paid 199 euro on ticketmaster drop this am. Bought for local friends who couldn't get tickets -- as it turns out they can only go Friday or Sat. They are at will call for me and I will meet you in person to do the exchange. Will be in Dublin on Sunday. Anyone want to swap 2 tickets together for MONDAY night (Dub1) for 2 tickets together for FRIDAY (Dub3) or Sat (Dub4)? Face value swap ONLY Thanks! Adrienne
  10. AFAIK this is a special occasion ONLY for the live HBO event. The band wants to make sure that they have a "known" quantity that interacts with them well onstage and won't do anything crazy on live TV.
  11. If the other buyers fall through I will buy and can send $ today.
  12. Right, that's what I was thinking. It's a very different setup for the venue -- I'm wondering if possibly they will have the screen run horizontally at the MainStage? Probably finding strategic railspace and planning on staying there until ready to give up the spot and kick back into 'designated' MZ makes more sense. I've seen how much more crowded GA was in Europe. Good advice TY. I have MZ for the last 2 shows, GA for D1 and seats for D2 so should be pretty easy to sort out a strategy (:
  13. Perfecto. That''s exactly what I was hoping. Did you get any e-mail instructions yet? I didn't get mine but may still be early (at MSG we got the emails from Emma day-of). Any other advice? See you there. <3
  14. It's a piece of theatre, tied to that whole transition/sequence of the show. The meanings/interpretations of which could go on for paragraphs. I'm just grateful as they make fantastic souvenirs. I caught about 1/4 of Alice in Wonderland in Chicago (:
  15. ^^ Same here -- any updates on this? Is the MGZ map still accurate for Dublin"? Otherwise looks like the benefit is getting rail spots at E or MainStage -- but the setup is so different...wondering if its specific to venue layout or they are changing up the show for Dublin? I haven't received ANY MGZ info yet and I have tickets for D3 and D4. Anyone know what's up? Is it being managed by the same lovely folks (Hi Emma!) who usually do RZ? If anyone has rec'd their info from MGZ yet, can you pls share??
  16. Pinging again -- anyone know whats up with Music Gen Zone in Dublin? Is the venue map accurate?
  17. Hey folks, I notice the e-stage and catwalk arrangement is a little different for Dublin. Anyone have any insight about the "Music Generation" VIP areas as they look a bit different from the standard Redzone areas. Also, any tips from folks doing the MG VIP experience who many have any insight? I assume its like RZ where you can basically wander about GA as you like and go back into the VIP section to secure a bit of breathing room during the show. Also I assume the cue practices are the same as RZ, but any info would help. Thanks!!!
  18. @Kevincfcu2 Thank you. I think I might have got it sorted out, but I will def take you up on that if there's an issue. @Lobmans I am hoping that is the case but just making sure I've got a plan in the event we have a logistics issue. THANK YOU folks. Looking forward to meeting more of you guys!
  19. Found the help I needed. Thanks all. See you in Dublin!!! Have an excellent day.
  20. I might have a spare as well that night due to a friends travel not working out. Will sell at cost or trade for GA that night (its in section L) Please PM me for details.
  21. Interesting. I've had nothing but great RZ experiences during the American shows (2 times at MSG) because you could move around the whole GA floor and then back to the MainStage RZ when it got too crowded or I wanted to go back closer to the MainStage. I've done seats and GA as well for this show. GA has been great, the only advantage to RZ was not having to cue. Although in good weather, that can be a great part of the whole fan experience IMHO. Question though for Dublin folks familiar with 3arena: I have "Music Generation" zone tickets for 2 shows, GA for one and seats for one. The setup looks very different though. The Music Generation area is where the E stage usually is (at the end of the catwalk) but the E stage appears to be in the middle of the GA area. I know I'll have a great time regardless, but am curious about other European fans. Were you able to leave the RedZone and come back. Anyone know if there are different rules applicable to "Music Generation" than RZ? Emma was AWESOME in NY but I don't know if she'll be doing the same bit in Dublin. Any insight appreciated.
