  1. Speaker towers. peruse the photo galleries and maybe you'll find one that shows what they look like.
  2. Haha me too.....was trying to fend off my coworkers: "go away"!
  3. Ok, I have a partially-used code but it only shows VIP and RZ, why not GA or regular seats?
  4. my opinion, its just dumb luck whether anyone gets anything but VIP or RZ.....I've tried all these options multiple times as has my wife (Im at work, she's at home) and nothing is working. Using my phone it actually says I'm exceeding the max ticket amount for this event (I'm selecting 2 tix)
  5. I have 2 tix left on my code, have tried it every which way, tried getting one ticket, two tickets, different browsers, iPad, phone, and I've never seen anything come up but RZ and VIP. No regular seats, no GA. Definitely something wrong.
  6. There's definitely a glitch, TM screwed up somewhere. I've never had problems buying GA during the presale for 4 previous shows, it always went smoothly. I have Firefox, IE, and Opera open on computer, the app open on an iPad, and my wife trying at home, and no luck....GAs never even showed up as an option. This is BS. PS...trying for San Diego
  7. See last post by Bigwave in above thread
  8. Depends what you want. If you want to be along the rail somewhere or close to it, you may need to be in line earlier than that. On the other hand, for the Rose Bowl we got in line about 415pm (45 mins before gates opened) and we ended up about 10 yards from the b-stage, center of the arena floor. Generally it seems to be for this tour that you don't need to be in line first thing in the morning if you just want to be reasonably close (but not near a rail). Also depends on how Qualcomm Stadium will handle the GA line.....that likely wont be known until September. Qualcomm holds 70,000-ish for football games, so its not the largest venue on the tour but still pretty big.
  9. There will likely be specific info posted on the Qualcomm website and SD Trolley website closer to the show (last trolley, etc). The JT shows so far have mostly been over about 11pm.
  10. Your first source of info should be the venue! See here: https://www.rosebowlstadium.com/events/u2 Look under FAQs, there is basic info but everyone with a GA ticket is going to get an email friday with the details; so check your email, and also, they will post it on their website too (so they say).
  11. I think that will partly depend on what the details are in the Rose Bowl email on Friday, and other factors, but we're just going to wing it, show up Friday afternoon/evening and see whats going on. By the way, in 2009, by the time the afternoon of the show rolled around, I had 3 different numbers from 3 different lists: two fan lists (one from Fri evening and a different one from Sat morning), then the venue, so the venue list/wristbands ultimately made the fan lists meaningless. Then after the "stampede", all the numbers became irrelevant. So good luck!
  12. There is no "tailgating lot" you pretty much can do it in any lot. https://www.rosebowlstadium.com/events/detail/u2-the-joshua-tree-tour-2017 Is Tailgating allowed at the Rose Bowl? Tailgating is permitted at the Rose Bowl once parking lots open (2:30 PM). The Rose Bowl is well known for its beautiful setting and is considered a great tailgating venue. Fans are encouraged to arrive shortly after parking lots open and enjoy the grounds and the excitement leading up to the show. For information on tailgating policies, please click https://www.rosebowlstadium.com/visitor-center/code-of-conduct
  13. I guess we'll all find out specifics on Friday........ https://www.rosebowlstadium.com/events/u2 from the FAQs: I purchased GA Floor seats, can I enter the Stadium at any gate? No. If you have GA Floor tickets, you will only be permitted to enter the Stadium at Gate E. Is camping allowed so that I can hold my place in the GA Floor ticket line? No. Camping is not permitted before or after the event anywhere on the Rose Bowl Stadium property or surrounding Arroyo. Where is the line going to form for GA Floor Entry? Gate E What time can I begin lining up for GA Floor Seating? If you are a GA Floor ticket holder, you will receive an email on Friday, May 19th with specific details. For further information, please visit our Rose Bowl Stadium website, post the May 19th email blast.
  14. I called the Rose Bowl today, and they responded to my every question with "there will be an email on Friday". Maybe someone else will have better luck, but here's the official word on GA, so far. I hope/suspect they are trying to avoid the 2009 fiasco. https://www.rosebowlstadium.com/events/u2 from the FAQs: I purchased GA Floor seats, can I enter the Stadium at any gate? 15. For 360 I recall there was a beer stand on the floor just outside the inner circle. I think. Otherwise you go inside. I dont know about the larger floor area. As for bathrooms i dont recall i somehow forgot to go the entire show ( including opening band!) ? But maybe there were some portopotties? During 360 there was one GA line and one entrance on the north side of the stadium. Were all still waiting for the venue to provide GA info for this show .... they better hurry up! A post on another thread says the info is coming soon (maybe via email to ticketholders?)
  16. Thanks for the info. I emailed the Rose Bowl on Sat and have yet to hear back. Rose bowl not that big?! Seattle has a stated capacity of 72,000 vs 92,000 for Rose Bowl. There were 97,000 people there for 360.
  17. Look here everyone: https://www.rosebowlstadium.com/events/u2 There is very little if any parking on the residential streets around the stadium; I've heard of people trying park over in the main part of Pasadena and walking (a bit of a long walk, I think...)
  18. There are motels/hotels strung all along the 210 freeway east of Pasadena (check a cluster of them in Monrovia, about 10 miles east), so yeah you'd have to uber/lyft etc. I've also heard of people taking the metro rail to Pasadena then walking to the Rose Bowl. You might want to check the Rose Bowl website for transportation options.
  19. If I were you I'd call ticketmaster as soon as possible to see what they say about it.
