  1. Also adding this shot I took with the e&i app, just because it looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. ?
  2. Not much I can add beyond my review on the main page...but I will add this: I believe a significantly underrated spot for this show is where I ended up both this week and for i&e - Just outside the Redzone as far toward the middle of the runway as possible. It is a spot where you can see both stages, are far enough back to get a good view of the barricage, and of course have the members band right in front of you on the runway a number of times. Plus, this time around, during Pride you get this...(see attached photo), or Edge if you pick the other side. In any event, if you have another show to go this tour, this is a spot that I HIGHLY recommend! ?
  3. ? SMALL Arena + crowd that hasn't seen the band in almost a decade = LOUD Hopefully that translates to Atlanta not getting skipped again anytime in the near future!
  4. I was actually the sandals guy in that photo! Atlanta gets HOT. I don't worry too much. Maybe I should! Someone did drop something on my foot...fortunately it was a pen! NBD . ?
  5. I ALSO have one available, so if somebody needs 2 GAs, perhaps we could all meet up in line? Just an idea!!!
  6. So many requests have been made for Acrobat - but nothing yet... Crazy idea... think we could get their attention if we attached said requests with donation pledges to ONE? Would be awesome if we could somehow make this happen for the Paris show that's going to be on HBO! Just a tought...
  7. <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> And AFTER August...Most of Europe is HOW many hours ahead of Eastern Time? Guess I'll be rocking out with earbuds at my desk!
  8. Thank God for Periscope and Mixlr! Hard to believe it was a full week ago tonight I was there for this. Anyone have a spare time machine I can borrow!?!
  9. Thank you for the kind words, especially because your photos are so great! Mine were just from my phone. Here's hoping we meet in a GA line in Atlanta some time in 2016! Enjoyed your photos. And I was the same way, never thought they could top 360 for me, but they did. I'm also hoping for Atlanta on the next US leg, as it is my "hometown" show since they haven't come to my hometown since 1992.
  10. You know, I think sometimes its all a matter of perspective. On Thursday night I was in the GA on the South Side (Edge's Side) and I can attest that things were certainly not thin - and, with the exception of a couple of morons who almost got into a fight during Iris and had to be dragged away by security - it was an awesome vibe. Or maybe I was too into the music myself to notice? In any event, in a large arena that holds 20,000 plus your bound to find some spots of the crowd that are more into the show than others just by chance. Or course, if you end up in a "downer" section I suppose it could drag down the feeling for the whole show. I've seen the band a bunch and really left Thursday thinking everything was especially strong... from the crowd, to the set-list (loved getting Lucifer's Hands only the 3rd time it was played and seeing AIWIY live), to the band itself. As for the "political" aspects of the show... I kind of feel like you might be missing the point... I don't believe they band is praising America in some kind of blind Country music kind of way... instead they're challenging us to try to live up to the philosophical ideals that America is theoretically SUPPOSED to stand for. That's why they also call out Ferguson, Baltimore, and Charleston and declare that we need MLK now more than ever before. Just some food for thought I guess.
  11. You know, I just realized just how "Bono-heavy" my photos are. I really am a fan of the whole band! As far as review... I've been following this tour online from the start. Can't believe my show finally came! Never thought they could top 360, but yep, they did! Thrilled I got to see Lucifer's Hands live. I love that they're playing the deep cuts. It really is something special for the real fans. As cool as this tour has been online... Nothing compares to seeing it live! Got awesome memories (and a green limited edition shirt) to show for it. Flew up from Atlanta just for this show. Now I can only hope the band comes my way next year!
  12. https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipMvpl0ALUynuPZocKyJkGp3dxDp-9rCGIDn0_tXe3U5Qci09M2_Zd3o2mtnDhw0dw?key=dDFUUmJjZWhVbm5mQWRUcm5sYXlFaDhic1hXR1hB Some photos from last night. Taken from South Side GA
  13. How fast have they been going? If I go straight to the merch counter as soon as they let the GA line in, am I in good shape?
  14. How about location tips? I'm only 5'6"... Also thinking I'd both like a good view of both stages AND the screen. Kind of thinking that the outside of the Redzone rail as far to the center of the catwalk would make sense. Am I right about that? Will be meeting my friend about 5:30 on Thursday because she has to come from work... Sounds like we still shouldn't have much trouble getting the spot of our choice... Also, any insight as to whether we'll be in good shape to get the limited edition MSG "shirt of the night"? Thanks in advance for any input or advice... After following the tour since May, hard to believe my show is just two nights away!!!
  15. I should add that getting the tickets made me not mind the Jury Summons so much, but still, talk about both ends of the spectrum!!!
  16. Awesome mail: My tickets for MSG arrived! Less awesome mail: So did a Jury Summons...
  17. Here's an outside the box idea that could be fun for the North American dates: Jimmy Fallon and The Roots. Their rendition of Desire was fun to see and most late night talk shows are reruns in the summer anyway so they ought to be available. I'm thinking it would be great to see something just plain entertaining as opposed to just another band we'd just as soon finish up so we can get to the show!
  18. It's certainly not the same thing, but I HAVE been able to find much of the 360 show I went to on YouTube.
