  1. still looking for 2 ga's for atlanta show if anyone ends up with extras... thanks!

  2. There is always the day of show ticket drop or a true U2 fan with an extra ticket they just want what they paid for... it's worked for me since the original Joshua Tree tour!
  3. I can't remember where now, but I did see a post that they were aware of this error and if you had already renewed, not to renew again...
  4. Thanks. I'll try that, for sure. But they didn't have Verified Fan in place for TJT to my recollection, did they? Anyway... can't worry about what's out of my control. I'm anticipating extra dates being added here anyway.
  5. My concern is for venues (like Infinite Energy Arena in Atlanta) that use their own ticketing service and not ticketmaster... I hope they have programs in place to make pre-sale go smoothly. I know the venue web page has link to TM verified fan, but as this is new all around, I hope there are no glitches for non-TM venues...
  6. Rumor has it that North America and Europe dates will be announced today at 1pm.
  7. I heard there is a website in Australia (not sure if it's a radio station or pre-sale site offering an enter-to-win to see them in LA in May.
  8. Update: I have since received this reply from U2.com team: Hi Greg, Thank you for your email. I'll be glad to assist you today. As long as you filled in the correct mobile number, and you checked the box that says: "I agree to receive SMS messages in order to participate in subscriber presales if and when the band goes on tour, and understand that I may not be a part of the first ticket presale opportunity without supplying this information." Then you are signed up. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. So, if any of who are curious, according to them, just make sure you have your correct number entered and have the agreement box checked, and, hopefully (fingers crossed) all will be well.
  9. Has anyone tried to sign up and submit to this on their accounts? If so, did you receive any kind of confirmation or acknowledgement that you were successful? Nothing happened when I tried. My screen refreshed, but no message of confirmation that I was successful, no SMS message acknowledging registration. Are we just supposed to wait and see if we were successful when on-sales are announced if we get a code or not? So, here's the brilliant reply I got from U2.com: Hi Greg, Sorry to hear you are not sure if you successfully signed up for the SMS Messaging. You will not receive a confirmation text, once you have entered your mobile number! We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. Hope this email finds you well and enjoying the day, Greg! If you need anything else, just reply to this email! Sincerely, U2.com Team Does anyone know if this link is active? Is there a possibly a glitch or technical issue? Or is it just my 3 computers that can't get anything? Thanks, all! Help would be appreciated!
  10. If you still have these and and haven't had a million offers already, i know someone definitely interested.
  11. Good luck! Worst case scenario, go to venue and find some fans. Most true fans with extra tickets will just want what they paid for ticket, and (maybe) a beer or two on top...
  12. Call MSG box office. I've heard they released some tickets this morning. I believe they are semi obstructed, but heard they were only $35.
  13. I just heard they released at MSG ticket window, but at last update, only had partially obstructed for $35... But hey, in is in, right? And the higher up the better the sound for this show. Hope that helps... Try calling box office at MSG before you do anything else!

No Pride in the Name of Atlanta

An Unknown Caller rang this particular call box just as I was walking by yesterday to express dismay that U2 is playing Phoenix and Denver but not the home of MLK! :)
  15. From the album: No Pride in the Name of Atlanta

Just a little something I came across on a hike the other day that fit my depression of no Atlanta show. Thought it was amusing. #noprideinthenameoflove
  16. In my opinion, GA is THE ONLY way to go for the U2 experience. Best seats in the house, and they have mastered the art of GA. Plenty of room to move about freely and check out the show from different places. They will be the most intimate as well. Trust me!
  17. I checked with Live Nation last month. The vinyl release initially said early spring release, so ther shouldn't be a surprise. Live Nation said vinyl would be shipping in the middle April, which is now... so hopefully it's about to be on the way!
  18. How about bringing some old firends from the salad days on the road with them? Simple Minds? Big Country? Mike Peters?
  19. I'd bet they're waiting to see how sales are in first NY shows. At my last look, only 1st night had sold out. Personally, I think they need to add 2 Atlanta shows in the mix somewhere!
  20. Oops! I thought you said seated is always clearer! That's what I was disagreeing with... (In the case of U2 anyway... GA is always the closest, most intimate!)
  21. Are the friends you want to hook up going with you? or were you looking for a different city for them?
  22. I have seen a site that does specifically say the GA's are the cheapest (but they usually are in the lower range of prices for most bands) but I can't remember which, this is a shot of what the Ticket Master site says though Standing is £35? So £181 for a seated ticket? Hmmm, that'd be great for the best place in the arena to be the cheapest! That has been my experience. The GA's are meant for the real fans. They never pack it so you can move around, see from everywhere, and it truly is small room intimacy in a big house.
