  1. Well, the speakers are all in the ceiling pointing down for this tour, so....
  2. The majority of GA is directly in front of the screen...
  3. The band seem pretty diplomatic as far as playing to both sides, so unless you want to be the Mysterious Ways dancer (which seemingly is always picked from the south side), either is fine. I've only done north twice, so far.
  4. Red letters on a white shirt for 7/26. Also, if anyone has an MSG4 army green in L, I will trade you for a L of tonight's shirt. LMK.
  5. That is every concert anymore. On Wednesday, on the Floor, during Every breaking Wave, the girl in front of me was actually deleting apps and organizing her iPhone... not even sharing the experience of being at the concert. Crazy...
  6. I've been showing up to get on the floor around 7:45p both nights I went to MSG, so there's very little I understand about queuing up all day... ;-)
  7. The point of distributing numbers used to be you could leave and come back... no? If you're #40, why do you have to guard your turf between #39 and #41 all afternoon?
  8. My ticket is no longer available. After looking on Ticketmaster, I realized the 7/31 GAs were going for a lot more in the resale pricing, probably because of the "last day" factor. So, I sold that ticket for $450 and then bought a $350 GA for Sunday?! So, I got to trade AND made $100? Is this is progress, count me out... but if there is a system, I will sort out how to game it. ;-)
  9. I forgot to mention the other factor. It is NYC, so that complaint comes up a bit more here than elsewhere, since our expectations are sort of like amazing things are supposed to happen here...
  10. Definitely a balcony issue... nothing like that happening at all down on the floor.
  11. Thanks, I'll make more of an effort tonight then... ;-)
  12. One hard ticket for 7/31 show available to trade for a GA ticket to either 7/26 (preferred) or 7/27... Anyone? I'm on the floor tomorrow, 7/23, if anyone wants to do the trade in person... if you're in the GA line, I can find you there (although I'm not going to be in the line otherwise)... LMK.
  13. Same here. Love them! Wore them to MSG tonight! ;-)
  14. Are they only at the main entrance from 7th ave? The stands up on the main level didn't have them or know about them...
  15. I've resold tickets through them. Completely true. They take a % so the more you make, the more they make, etc.

    Empty Seats

I think GA has to be somewhat thinned out due to the amount of stage U2 has on the floor, compared to other bands, based on fire regulations and such. So with an arena-length stage, that reduces the number of seats they can sell at all, so that it isn't completely jam-packed. Whereas a band with an end stage and no runways or anything can get a lot more people in there. People have been saying all along that you should head to this part of the floor around this point, and on and on, which leads me to think that is pretty standard.
  17. If they are garbage and crazy priced, doesn't that make the size issue less relevant? Also, all of the shirts are on the website, with all available in XXL, to which you can apply your u2.com membership coupon code and get a discount.
  18. Bono admits he's lost grip of any ticketing concerns, btw: "On the ticket question: Monopolies are generally not good, not good for innovation, not good for competition. Some years back we looked back into taking charge of ticketing. But this is maybe a weak answer for you. I've lost grip of that question. I wasn't aware it was a nagging issue. This is probably due to the multi-personality disorder issue that I have. I do a lot of things, I try to be on top of things, but I'm not aware of this being a problem. I should make more time to look into this, because it does affect us and our audience. I would be very upset if they weren't being treated well. We have a history of trying to get these things right. But these things can get by you." http://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/music/kot/ct-u2-bono-interview-united-center-20150622-column.html
  19. Yeah, at this point, I have the tickets and if I didn't go, I wouldn't be doing anything else, just sitting at home, heh. Actually, between one pairing of shows, I also have a front row, center ticket to see Culture Club at the Beacon, heh.
  20. Pure speculation, since I haven't been to the tour yet, but wouldn't the other side of the RZ fence in the middle of the arena put you between both stages, and perfectly lined up with the screens?! Closer to the stage might be more of a problem, unless you have a fancy chair where you can raise yourself up. I queued up at a concert behind someone in a wheelchair once thinking, this will be great, perfect view, and then five minutes to show time, she cranked that seat up and completely blocked my view ;-)
