  1. It sounds to me like bags are allowed into the stadium if you need one, but if you can manage without, it'll speed things up if you don't bring one (presumably because they'll be thorough about checking them). However, it would be good to hear an official clarification from the venue.
  2. Perhaps one of the mods could make this a pinned topic for easy reference?
  3. I agree, they were very good... I didn't even like that song until I saw them at Wembley, but the line "It's looking like a beautiful day" felt so appropriate for the occasion that I spontaneously got all emotional! Still brings back joyful memories whenever I hear it now.
  4. I would certainly like an additional support act, but I wasn't expecting there to be one...
  5. It's a bit weird how this page lists "Support act 1" from 6pm to 6:30, followed by Noel Gallagher from 7pm to 8pm. As far as I'm aware, Noel is the only support, isn't he?
  6. Not sure if this has been posted anywhere already - Twickenham Stadium's U2 concert guide: http://www.englandrugby.com/mm/Document/General/General/01/32/48/85/ConcertGuideU2CustomerDownload_Neutral.pdf
  7. There shouldn't be any problem with letting someone else use your paper tickets.
  8. Yes, all of my tickets arrived last week and I am very grateful for the early delivery too! Makes life so much easier and less stressful!
  9. UPDATE: I have now received the ticket, so I can offer it to people outside the UK as well! Ticket has now been sold!
  10. UPDATE: I have now received the ticket, so I can offer it to people outside the UK as well!
  11. Age 33, seen 8 shows - 1 x Elevation, 2 x Vertigo, 3 x 360° (2009 and 2010), 2 x IE. This summer will be my 9th and 10th.
  12. I have a single seated ticket (east stand lower tier, section L21) for the first Twickenham show to sell. It's £114.05 including Ticketmaster fees, plus postage - £6.45 for Special Delivery within the UK would bring the total cost to £120.50. NOTE: Ticketmaster probably won't send me the ticket until very late, around the start of July. I would therefore prefer a buyer with a UK address and not someone who will be travelling in the week before the show. PM me if interested!
  13. Apart from the obvious JT rarities, I've been waiting 18 years to hear Angel Of Harlem live, and missed it on every tour. If you're reading this, lads, *please* can you play it at Twickenham?!
  14. TM sent out an email yesterday saying: "The event organisers are sending us their own tickets for this show, but this might not be until nearer the time. As soon as we have them in, we’ll print them and send them out to you. The latest you should receive them is around 5 days before the event." I hope it won't be quite that late! Will make ticket exchanges a bit of a nightmare.
  15. Too funny- just goes to show how obsessed we are- and it's just another day at the office for him-- went back in time today on my lunch hour and read bits of Willies diary from Pop Mart tour- didn't know there was one- great read- hope he brings it back this tour it's been awhile I really hope so too. The last tour just wasn't the same without Willie's diary!
  16. I could be wrong, but i think i have a bootleg tape buried in the basement somewhere from a 19887 or 1988 show in Chicago with Red Hill Mining Town on it. If am remembering correctly, Bono stops the song and tells everybody to shut up for a second. He says something like "this isn't the Beatles, its U2." People were screaming and whooping it up. Maybe that's why they stopped playing it. I think that's Springhill Mining Disaster you're thinking of.
  17. Hard to say... on the Vertigo Tour they sent them out about 3 weeks before the show, on the 360 Tour it was only 10 days before! Hope it'll be sooner this time.
  18. Yes, the IE Tour was more than loud enough for me - someone spoke to me right after the show ended and I couldn't hear a word she was saying! Can't say I've ever had a problem with U2 shows being too quiet. Think all those concerts must have damaged your hearing, Phill.
  19. As far as I could tell, £78 is upper tier and £110 is lower tier around the corners (it kept offering me sections L21 and L9 in particular).
  20. The crowds at Twickenham station were pretty insane after the shows in 2005 - we didn't manage to catch a train until after midnight.
  21. They do seem to be upper tier seats. Those are the only ones I was offered while searching for that price band.
