    My teenager doesn't have school today and still woke up before 7am. So the two of us are sitting in our living room, cuddling the dog, having coffee (as they refer to it - magic bean water) and listening to the show. A lovely way to start Thanksgiving break. Happy Turkey Day to my American compatriots (and everyone else observing the holiday of gluttony).

    I look at that picture and see a mug of tea (or coffee?) and what looks like a box of tissues on the table next to Larry and I have to laugh. He's in his office. And appears to be having so much fun there.

    Walking my dog in Central Park, NYC, then sitting in my kitchen with a cup of coffee, all while listening to a U2 concert a half a world away. Not a bad way to start a crisp fall morning.

    And I completely missed this one! Grump. OK. Deep breath, not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I missed it because I was watching my daughter's hockey team win a really well-played, close game. But looking at the set list - can they keep Gloria around? I love that one. Love, hugs and peace to all!

    If only the Dublin shows weren't in the middle of my daughter's hockey season. I'd move heaven and earth to be there.

    I did the same thing. GA with my family at Nassau Coliseum and behind the stage by myself for MSG3. Both were fantastic evenings and very different experiences. ENJOY YOURSELF!!! And to all on the GA line today - stay in the shade (if you can) and stay hydrated!!!!

    What a night! I am so glad I listened to the advice given here! I picked up a last minute single behind the stage and had a magnificent time. When I went three weeks ago, I was with my family. It was a night to share with loved ones and to reflect on my relationship with my teenager, through the lens of U2s music. Last night was a night to relish in the music itself. Summer in the City of Blinding Lights.

    So I should really keep my eyes open for Sunday? I was at the Nassau Coliseum show with my family and had a fantastic evening. My husband is taking our daughter to camp this weekend and I was thinking about going to the show at MSG by myself on Sunday night. Hmm.

    80 degrees and kinda humid, so YES! My family was comfortable in shorts and t-shirts last night and tonight looks to be much the same.

    FYI - we got there just after 5 yesterday afternoon. We had regular GA tickets. We ended up with a great spot on the corner of the rail at the back the Red Zone. Perfect view for my 6'1" husband over my 5'2" head.

    It will depend on local fire ordinances. Some places will allow the entire floor to be open, others will require access lanes across the field, so the floor will be split into multiple zones.

    Maybe, maybe not. It will depend on what the radar shows and what the band wants to do. If it looks like the lightening will blow over fairly quickly, they might have the option of just waiting it out (it depends on local ordinances and their willingness to pay overtime). I went through that a few years ago with Bruce Springsteen's "Birthday Show" at MetLife in 2012. The radar showed that the lightening would be gone before 10pm. Everyone was moved inside - the GA & Pit were lined up in as close to the original order as they could manage in one part of the stadium and everyone with seats was under cover on the various plazas and stairs until the storm was over. Bruce hit the stage sometime after 10 and played until almost 2am. It was easier and cheaper to pay the stadium staff overtime than it would have been to try to reschedule, there were no applicable noise ordinances in that part of NJ and Bruce was taking a month off before starting the European leg of that tour.

    I'm the 5'2" person who hates being in GA because of people like you ;-) My husband is 6'1" and our daughter is 5'6". I was outvoted this time and we will be in the GA. Oh, well. I think I will try for the "back of the Red Zone rail" suggestion.

    Local fire codes will make that determination. I will not be at all surprised to show up to MetLife next month and find a divider in the middle of the floor, regardless of what has happened elsewhere.

    I'm just shy of 50. First saw them perform at Giants Stadium in 1986 on the Conspiracy of Hope tour. Saw them again at the Meadowlands on the Joshua Tree tour in 1987. Back at the Meadowlands in 1997 for PopMart. At MSG for Elevation in 2001. Twice on the iE tour, both at MSG, once with my husband, once with my daughter. The three of us are going together to Giants Stadium next month!

    It will not be easy. Driving from Queens, through Manhattan to get to NJ at rush hour is no one's idea of fun. Since you are visiting, I'm going to assume that you do not have a car. Astoria is a fairly large neighborhood and there is only one subway line that goes through it - the N/W line. Your best bet is to take that subway to 42nd St/Times Square and take a NJ Transit bus to the stadium. There will be busses that run directly from Port Authority to the Stadium for the concert and they will be lined up outside the stadium at the end of the show to take passengers back to Manhattan. The 42nd St. subway station is a tangle of tracks and platforms. The N/W subway platform is the opposite side of the station from the bus terminal, but it is fairly well marked and there are always a ton of cops willing to give directions to lost tourists. I've taken the bus to concerts and it's not the best way to go, but if you don't have a car . . . and it will be all U2 fans going to the concert.

    $70 plus fees (totaling around $96/each) for MetLife. I got 3 without any trouble this morning.

    Agreed. At 5'2", I've never been a big fan of GA - most of what I see is that back of other people's backs. This time around, though, I bought GA tickets - it was the only way that we could go as a family, actually see something and spend less than $1000. We will just hang out at the back of the field, dance, have a great time and still be able to make the car payment.

    I got 3 GA for MetLife with no trouble, but that was at exactly 9am, took less than two minutes with a preexisting Ticketmaster account and the code ready to be pasted into place.

    3 GA tickets for MetLife. Smoothest trip through Ticketmonster ever.

    I have been wondering the same thing. Mine will turn 13 before the concert and she's already 5'5", so unless someone asks for her birth certificate, I'm not too worried about bringing her into GA.
