  1. Checking out the merch (which is now on the shopping area of u2.com), I'm interested in the zipped hoodie, but worried about getting the right size (either M or L). Have any men out there at the Vancouver show bought this? My shirt size is 16 1/2 /34-35 sleeve--mainly concerned about the sleeves being long enough. I'm 6 feet, 165 pounds--so body-wise, the M is probably fine, but I might have to get the L to have the sleeves be long enough. Any comments from those who've bought this item would be welcome. Also, I have to say (as some others have), that with a few exceptions (like maybe this hoodie and the flask), the merch (especially the t-shirts) for this tour is very inferior to prior tours, at least in my humble opinion. Not much imagination or cool-looking stuff at all. At the very least, for heaven's sake, there should be a three-symbol shirt.
  2. Not sure what you mean. You mean that Rock101 won't be broadcasting the whole show?
  3. Went to that site--couldn't find it. Could you copy/post it here? Or specify how to search to find it?
  4. [This is responding to ddarroch's post, bottom previous page] Yes, I do. Hard to be precise; I'd say maybe 500 or so, something like that. Sometimes fewer than that, I'd say.
  5. Sure, that would be hard. But as a veteran of many U2 GA shows, I can say that at least in the US, there are never remotely that many folks in line by that time, with very rare exceptions.
  6. Well, there wouldn't have to be a limit, I don't think. How about this: You say that everyone there by say, 2:30 gets a number (this puts no limit on the amount of numbers). People arriving after that still form a line, they're just not in the "Springsteen sort". So all the folks there by 2:30 get a number (again, no limit here), the draw occurs, and the X number of people who got numbers reform their positions accordingly. Then the post-2:30 people join the back of the of the new, resorted line. This way, the post-2:30 people have lost nothing (vs. no Springsteen system)--they're exactly where they would have been anyway in line. In this approach, I see no need to limit the pre-2:30 numbers. Basically, if one wants to participate in the "Springsteen sort", you have to be there by 2:30 (or whatever time the organizers designate). So yeah, there are a finite amount of numbers, but anyone arriving before the "resort" deadline will get one.
  7. I don't know if Springsteen does, but in theory, one wouldn't have to limit the numbers at all.
  8. Yeah, the "Springsteen method" has been suggested before; seems like a nice balance between rewarding being there early and not having to arrive insanely early. But, U2 hasn't adopted it yet; seems unlikely they will now.
  9. It all depends on whether you want a rail spot or not. If you do, then getting there early (but not as early as regular GA) in the RZ line will be necessary. If not, probably no big deal to show up whenever.
  10. Of course I'm not sure, but I don't think so. If memory serves me correctly (which maybe it doesn't), I don't think they formally announced 2nd legs in tours in years past until either well into the 1st leg or even not until the 1st leg is over. So I don't think it means anything that there's no official news yet about a 2nd leg.
  11. No. They're doing a longer show, with an intermission/set break in the middle.
  12. Jeff, CCE GA tix (like w/Boston) cannot be transferred, resold, etc.--period.
  13. I agree. I think California is flat-out terrible. Oh well.
  14. The ziggo map has been out for some time (it's not new at all), and is consistent w/the San Jose map, etc., that clearly has the RZs by the b-stage. The brand-new Vancouver info (apparently emailed to RZ ticket holders there), if it's for real, is radically different from any and all previous information. It also really pisses me off; if this new info is real, I would have never have bought any seated tix.
  15. Unless you are referring to NYC, where paperless is illegal. Also, if you are looking at resellers on Ticketmaster, they can do it there, since Ticketmaster just cancels your tickets when they sell and reissues them to the new seller. Jeff--I'm confused by your post. Are you suggesting that people can transfer/resell their (non-NYC) GA tickets (GA tix seem to be jethronh's concern) ? If so, you're wrong by all reports--TM specifically will NOT allow any reselling or transfers of credit card entry (i.e., non-NYC GA) tix. If people could transfer or resell their CCE GA tix, no one would have any problem to begin with. As far as 3rd-party GA (again, non-NYC) resellers go, they apparently often have bought the GA with "single-use"-type credit cards, which they send to the buyer--something like that.
  16. Wow. Yet another, different take on where the RZs are. Very confusing--it conflicts with both the San Jose arena and TM (everywhere) maps, which have the RZs by the b-stage, NOT the main stage. And--on top of that--it seems to conflict with the actual leaked photos from Vancouver, which appeared to show the RZ all along the central catwalk. And what's more, these RZs are way too big for the 100-total number of RZ slots (50/side). Can any actual RZ ticketholders from Vancouver verify that they received this image??
  17. Yeah--let's face it, the communication has been truly lousy. Really, more than anything else, that's the real problem, at least in my view.
  18. I had that happen to me, also. I thought my order got erased by a computer glitch. I was able to get tickets anyways 15 minutes later. When I got my credit card statement, there was an extra charge. I called Ticketmaster to see what was going on since my order history only show 1 pair of tickets, but got charged for 2 pairs. The Ticketmaster operator said to me that my first order did go through and apologized for the glitch. He offered to cancel my first order, but I decided to keep both orders. My advice is to call Ticketmaster. If your credit card got charged, you should be good to go. But I would get the confirmation number for your order over the phone AND in an email from them, and take it with you to the venue. Hope that helps. You can private message me if you have any other questions. Jason Yeah, you should definitely check this out further w/TM, etc. Normally, GA orders definitely DO show in your TM order history--so something's off.
  19. I'm a huge "Please" fan, would love to hear it. Sure, it's cool when they perform stuff they haven't performed live before (e.g., Playboy Mansion), but I'd still rather hear Please or Gone (love that song) any day. Or Mofo, Last Night on Earth, Staring at the Sun, for that matter.
  20. I basically second markrice's comments, with some provisos. The main problem, IMHO, is that the communication has been so poor. Now, I happen to agree w/Jeff that things will ultimately work out fine, but there's simply no good excuse for not telling us what's up, that don't worry, new codes to replace the missing ones will be issued, etc. Instead, stone silence. On the other hand, although again we don't really know what's going on, I think it may be unfair to give U2 lots of flak about the Dublin delay per se. It seems likely that some complications (scheduling, who knows) have arisen regarding the number/dates of the Dublin shows--and that's not U2's fault. I still think they will happen. It's unfortunate that there's been such a delay in announcing them, of course. On the other, other hand, though, why not simply make an official announcement that there's been some problems with nailing this down, they'll tell us as soon as they can, etc.? And while they're at it, again, reassure everybody about replacing the missing codes--and explain why they were removed to begin with. And if there's any question at all about the Dublin shows happening, they should announce some kind of recompense in the event they aren't--like issuing extra, "bonus" codes (above and beyond replacing the missing ones) for the 2016 leg. After all, if (although I think this won't happen) the Dublin dates don't occur, fans who held off on using their codes would otherwise be unfairly penalized, which would definitely not be OK. Bottom line, leaving everyone in the dark about this is simply not OK.
  21. Thanks, guys. The atu2 source must have (mistakenly) assumed that the taping Monday was for the Monday show. Glad to know I didn't miss anything!
  22. CCE/Ticketless entry is ONLY for GA tix. Do you have those? You still haven't said. If you have seats, you can sell/trade them, etc., with no problem. If you do have GA, though, you (and many others) definitely have a problem, which sucks.
  23. Yep--very likely a longer show, especially also considering that it seems almost certain that there's no opening act.
