  1. 2016 will be a different leg; folks who renew will get new codes for the 2016 leg. Plus, the mods, etc. also said that folks' unused codes for this (2015) leg (if any) would also be usuable for the 2016 leg (in addition to new, 2016 codes). None of this, however, means that codes already used for the 2015 leg will be re-usable.
  2. Famous last words, but my sense is that the Dublin shows will still happen in late 2015, people will be able to use their (reinstated) codes, etc. It's totally bizarre that these codes have (apparently temporarily) disappeared, though--no question.
  3. Hmm..."end of tour"? If taken literally, that would mean late 2016 at the earliest (since there will be a stadium leg in 2016). Before, the word was the shows would be at the end of this (current, 2015) leg.
  4. Yeah, I'll be seeing Chicago 3 alone myself. I've done GA alone many times. Good advice above. Definitely get to know some folks around you; hopefully, you'll become part of a group (or at least can find a single partner) to help with the "leave and come back" problem. Regarding that, my advice is: Once you get your spot (along with whomever, hopefully), leave immediately to go to the bathroom and come back ASAP. You shouldn't have too much trouble getting back to your spot if you do this--IF you've managed to connect w/a "partner" (or partners) who will vouch for you. The longer you wait, the harder it is. I'd in particular suggest NOT trying to do this in the break between the opening act and U2. If need be, leave before the opening act ends; it'll be easier to get back. In my experience, it's basically impossible to not go pee at least once; so again, my advice is do so immediately after you snag your initial spot. It's no guarantee, but it's your best chance of a relatively hassle-free return. Good luck! Oh, and leaving the line to pee or whatever is typically no big deal as long as it's before when the organizers start to tighten up the line, etc. (c. 4:00, usually)--but again, you want to know your line-mates at least a little so they can vouch for you.
  5. What about the $70 seats? Granted, not trivial, but not a huge price (per ticket) either.
  6. Yeah, will-call will open way before 1 1/2 hours before the show. More like 2:00 or so; perhaps even earlier. So you can get in the GA line, and have somebody hold your place while you go to pick them up at will-call.
  7. People have been saying lately that the TM info on RZ suggests that they will be will-call day of show (not true CCE). If so, and MichaelChris can go to the venue that day, then you could meet him there and make the exchange then. Still a pain, to be sure, but better than true CCE.
  8. Well, Edge recently said that SOE would likely be out in about 1 1/2 years, which wouldn't fit w/Dublin being announced after SOE is released (if Dublin occurs in late 2015).
  9. As I recall, it's been a couple of months (maybe more) since there was any specific word from the band/on this website about the Dublin dates. It did sound then, however, like it was basically certain that it would happen/be announced/etc. Perhaps it's a bit surprising that they haven't been announced yet, but as I mentioned above, I wouldn't read too much into the recent removal of the "further dates to be confirmed" language on the tour page. I'd be very surprised if they don't happen in late 2015.
  10. Hmm. I'd still bet, though, that the Dublin dates will still be added for late 2015. My guess is that removing the "further dates to be confirmed" language applies to the "standard" US & Europe tour.
  11. Interesting. Since it's a different ticket vendor, how can you tell without seeing the 'every seat' maps that TM shows?
  12. The last two posts sum up the problem nicely. For flexibility, one has to allow reselling, secondary markets, etc. But for antiscalping to work, some kind of restrictive CCE-like thing has to happen. Bottom line, seems like these two goals are simply incompatible, at least to some major degree.
  13. Yes, it does. What do you see in that announcement that seems unclear or confusing? Oh wait--maybe you're referring to the top line with the March 25, 2015 date? That is misleading; LA5 was added some time ago. Also, when the LA5 was originally added, it didn't say it would be the final LA show. Looks to me like "Eventful" is, for some reason, just now trying to promote the LA shows (maybe especially LA5), and is doing so with some clumsy phrasing.
  14. I'm kinda surprised that it's been this long with still no real solutions or resolution to this problem. Let's hope there will be one.
  15. Yeah, it's a huge pain to have no flexibility when considering serious travel. And it looks like everything will eventually sell out, although right now Chicago and Boston still have significant seats left.
  16. The "paired up" thing is still basically true. There are only two "single" dates--LA5 and Chicago5--all the others are in pairs (including London, which just got London6, and Denver, which just got a 2nd show). Who knows, but presumably these rare "odd" shows will reflect some combination of the "paired" setlists (?)
  17. Wow--good catch. Not announced on u2.com yet!
  18. How do you know? They aren't anywhere else (except NY). Because there is a transfer function and in their FAQ it tells you all about what you can do. You can sell them back on their site or transfer them to a friend. I think someone else posted this as well. Oh, OK. Very strange...guess it's because it's a different seller w/different rules. Thanks.
  19. No, no way. There's no room in the schedule now. If there was going to be an LA 6, it would have been already announced for the day after LA5, and there still would have been room for the Denver show(s)--they would have been pushed back a day from when they are now.
  20. Weird. Oh well, that's handy for Denver folks. Odd that this wasn't done through TM, also.
  21. You're likely going to have trouble w/this due to the LA GAs being CCE.
  22. Probably because they had more reason to expect higher demand in London--native English speakers, closer to home, etc.
  23. Only GA. Also, at first, RZ tix were being described as CCE, but it appears they may be will-call instead (a little less restrictive, but the original buyer still has to show up and pick them up the day of the show). Regarding the safety of buying from others, there's always some risk, but chances are good that paid members here are pretty safe.
