  1. Okay, had a bit of a problem - got there, entered my presale code, and it said it was incorrect. Which is weird, because it says in the FAQs that if you've used your code on only one ticket in an earlier presale (which I did) then you can use it again on one more ticket in a later presale. Could someone help me out with this? To be honest, having already got a ticket for the first night in London, I'm not too fussed about whether or not I get a ticket for this one, but I found it a bit confusing that I entered the exact code I was given (correctly) and still couldn't get in.
  2. Oh yes! Already got a ticket for night 1, but sorely tempted by this one too!
  3. Ah man...just looking at that picture reminds of the queue to get to Finsbury Park station after Green Day at the Emirates Stadium two years ago...not something I want to experience again. The O2 is the perfect place for a gig - food, drink, coffee - only drawback is that it's all massively pricey!
  4. You're not alone, Peter. I'ts U2's duty to support new bands. What about "the Bohicas"? I wouldn't say it's their duty, I just think it's nice to see the older bands plugging the new ones.
  5. Am I the only one who actually WANTS U2 to put their weight behind new, cool, exciting bands? I would actually be very unimpressed if they decided not to show their support for new music by not having any support acts.
  6. Here's a big ol' map of the venue for you all to look at: http://www.theo2.co.uk/visit-us/maps
  7. There's two separate entrances. When I've been to seated gigs at The O2, I've always entered at entrances A and B, which are nearest to the dome entrance. However, I went to a standing gig in November and I had to take a bit of a walk round to entrance f. I might have said this before but the queues at The O2 don't really start until about an hour/half an hour before the doors open.
  8. They smashed the BRIT awards last night. I was so happy when they won Best British Band. Can't wait to see them at Wembley with Foo Fighters and Iggy Pop! I'd love to see them support U2, but somehow I'm not sure they're the right fit.
  9. A couple of people saw Bono out and about recently, took pictures with him and uploaded them to Facebook. One said he is getting 'fighting fit' for the tour. Given that he's getting out and about I think it's safe to assume that he is recovering well and the tour is set to start on time. It's still about 3 months before the tour starts, he's got plenty of time to recover and get fit!
  10. Trick is, have your bite to eat or your drink before you join the line. The lines at the O2 don't start that early, so you should be alright.
  11. Don't quote me, as I've never seen a concert there, but it sounds like GA lines are let inside the dome, when it opens, to queue outside the arena. If that's the case, a midday arrival may mean quite a pleasant GA line experience, out of the weather, inside the dome. For what it's worth, I think I'll be one of those U2 crazies, camping out for the Nov 2 show. I've been to a load of O2 gigs, you're right, the queues are all within the dome. There's also loads of restaurants and bars where you can have a drink or a bite to eat, and also a cinema...
  12. Yep, 25th is the one for me.
  13. I'm probably going to get there mid-afternoon-ish, so I can grab a bite to eat and a drink, then be in the line ASAP and nab a good spot at the front!
  14. Seriously hoping they play Invisible in London. Wouldn't be surprised if they did, since it's about their first trip into London...
  15. I knew she worked on the Olympics, I didn't realise she worked with Muse! This should be good!
  16. Looking at the two-day gaps between each pair gigs, that means they'll be in London for over a week! Blimey!
  17. Turns out paperless and e-tickets are different things...so I'm okay.
  18. Right, so I'm aware that GA tickets are being issued as paperless, so you have to present your ID and credit card at the doors. But in the thread for the London shows a couple of people said they'd had tickets emailed to them as PDF files. I haven't got mine yet. Should I be worried? Will I need e-tickets to print off and present along with my card and ID?
  19. Has anyone else received theirs? I haven't got mine yet...
