  1. It's getting close! Just over 2 months and we'll all be there...
  2. That's odd, because I was listening to the U Talkin' U2 to Me? podcast and apparently Bono played the two hosts 4 whole songs which sounded very nearly finished. I imagine they're going to use this month off to take things a bit further.
  3. According to the Tweet I posted a link to (see above yardie's post), the band's staff are looking into it.
  4. I could quite happily go with Matt Bellamy joining them for Streets at The O2...y'know, after Edge joined Muse at Glasto like annodominii2015 said above...
  5. Just thought I'd post this. https://twitter.com/atu2comsherry/status/627181436534173696
  6. Sky Atlantic is the main broadcaster for most of HBO's shows (e.g. Game of Thrones). Not sure if they do live broadcasting though.
  7. I'm thinking if they want to vary up the second half even more, they could rotate EBTTRT with the dance remix of I'll Go Crazy as the song for the transition from the screen to the b-stage. I would totally eat that up!
  8. Apparently there might be a few gigs at Croke Park in Dublin next year, which would indicate that a return trip to Europe may be on the cards. If they want to do more UK gigs the Olympic Stadium in London (built for the 2012 games) is reopening next year as a multi-purpose venue so we could potentially see them making a trip there.
  9. I'm at 1 and 6. May be up for a meetup!
  10. Don't even get me started! I've been right up near the back for Jamiroquai, Nine Inch Nails, The National, etc...Thankfully I'm on the floor for U2!
  11. The O2 is generally pretty good as far as I can tell. I saw one instance at a Muse gig where a couple of fans got up out of their seats and danced on the steps in between the seating columns. A security guard came and told them to go back to their seats, but did so very politely. But what I'm reading on this thread sounds appalling.
  12. Earplugs are always a good idea. I wear them to every gig I go to these days. Definitely wear some!
  13. You think they lied about Bono's back injury? Yeah, because they'd totally lie about something like that...
  14. Bono said that The Crystal Ballroom would appear in the set later on, whether that means further into the US tour or during the European tour isn't really clear.
  15. This I agree with. I thought the 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You' snippet during Where the Streets Have No Name at Glastonbury was a bit cringey. Plus they have enough of their own material for it to be able to stand on its own two feet, without needing to throw in bits of other people's work.
  16. Are U2 shows really THREE hours? I can't recall other artists' shows I've been to lasting that long. Okay maybe 8:30 - 11:00 is 2 1/2. So U2 really adds the extra half hour? I have not seen them yet. They're not 3 hours, usually between 2 hours and 2 1/2 hours.
  17. Sleep Like A Baby Tonight would actually work really well as a piano piece. I'd be up for hearing that!
  18. They did a tour in 2012 to promote their new box set. It was exceptional. Fuckin awesome man,,,still not sure they came across the pond though for that...I remember being at Booth's feet when he broke out the megaphone and was wailing for 700 people..show was insane.... English bands are rough....they do the standard 10 city tour if your lucky over here...Still waiting for the Editors to come back, (guilty pleasure) never seen,......been through countless others, ie PJ, Ashcroft, etc...Same thing every time, IF you can get em to make the trip. Always so minimal and brief. Cheers Editors' new song is really good. I've seen them 4 times, looking forward to seeing them again this October at the Apollo in London.
  19. Volcano sounds sick! Also, Ordinary Love. One other thing in AtU2's report of the final LA show: ""Every Breaking Wave" is delayed for several minutes when Edge's e-stage piano has problems. As the crew tries to get that taken care of, Bono stands on the e-stage talking to fans in the first few rows of general admission. He tells the crowd that U2 intends to play "The Crystal Ballroom" later in the tour -- something he said a couple weeks ago while meeting fans before a show."
  20. They did tease us with that Mofo snippet before Iris on the first night. There is hope yet!
  21. Oh I wasn't comparing you to those guys BigBunny, sorry I didn't make that clear enough!
