  1. !!!!!!!!! AMAZING !!! ! Mind-bending !!! One week from now , does that mean the 5th show??? 6th show. Tuesday 3rd November, so the last night in London, which means I'll hopefully get to hear the Bad/40 combo!
  2. I didn't realise there was an issue, I managed to get inside fairly quickly. Although now I'm worried about night 6 because I've got college that day and probably won't arrive until just before or just after doors open...
  3. Did night 1, my first U2 gig. I have never, ever cried at any gig before...that is, until With Or Without You got played. The best gig I've ever been to, and one of the best nights of my whole life. Plus I met padawanbeck84 in the GA line, that was fun. Here, have a shoddy blurry photo I took during The Miracle. Can't wait to experience it again one week from now!
  4. Nice review. Sums it up for me, really. Last night's gig was the best I've ever seen.
  5. I'm here! Currently sat in Frankie & Benny's trying to eat lunch and supper at once! Also got my tour t-shirt, the Miracle video one...put it on under my other U2 t-shirt for extra warmth when on the way home! Update: just got an extra glass of pepsi because they accidentally made more than they needed!
  6. Aw man, it's actually happening! Today! About 15 minutes, I'm going to hop on a bus from my house to the station, then to London...I can't help but feel my whole life so far has led up to this gig.
  7. YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHH I missed out on the 360 tour stop at Wembley (would've been my first proper big gig by any band if I'd managed to get tickets), I've waited 6 years for a U2 gig and then I find myself going to two U2 gigs within 2 weeks of each other! Tomorrow night and November 3rd! It honestly feels like my whole life so far has been leading up to this!
  8. Well, the O2 isn't just an arena, it's basically a mini-town under a tent. You've got restaurants, bars, pubs, coffee shops, a cinema, and then the arena. Pretty cool, huh?
  9. One more sleep and then I'm there. I can't describe my excitement right now.
  10. Cheers for that, I'm rubbish with directions! Do you happen to know if there is a merch stand near where we will queue? Afraid not, the only merch stand there is next to entrances A & B (seated entrances).
  11. Having been to a standing gig at The O2 last year, I can verify that the mistake is that to go down the Avenue (where all the restaurants and stuff are) you turn right, not left. If you come under the tent go left then you'll 1. walk into a bar 2. find the merch stall, or 3. bump into a wall, which would be very unfortunate! So it should say "turn right down the Avenue and aim for the standing entrance" but it says left instead of right. Silly AXS!
  12. Well, the entrance for standing at The O2 is entrance F, which is northside. Not sure whether they'll be letting standing people in through A and B, which are southside. is edge northside? Edge will be southside.
  13. I'm going to the first one in London one week from now. On a Sunday Bloody Sunday no less. I bought that ticket back in December, it's crept up very quickly. I am ridiculously pumped.
  14. Ironic that the gig is in Europe and there's no information about it showing in Europe...
  15. Well, the entrance for standing at The O2 is entrance F, which is northside. Not sure whether they'll be letting standing people in through A and B, which are southside.
  16. I'm going on two nights, might try one down at the front of the I-stage and another closer to the E-stage
  17. Agree with all of that. In fact I would add that the growth of the internet seems to have mirrored the growth in the whining and sense of entitlement many seem to display now. I remember walking away from gigs in the past chatting to mates about what had or hadn't been played, but if something was omitted it warranted no more than a 'shame they didn't play so and so' and no more. I also don't understand those who express their opinions as if they were hard and fast facts. Remember any band can present themselves however they want on any tour. They can change everything every night or nothing. There is no right or wrong. There are many successful examples of all ends of that spectrum out there. Mini rant over.. for now. Bolding the bits I agree with most.
  18. I'm buzzing for it too. One thing I've noticed, having gone back and watched some 360 shows, is that to me, right now, the band just seem to having so much more fun than they were back then, and that definitely feeds into the performances. Definitely looking forward to the opening four songs, that looks like something that really gets it going. The regular setpieces and thematic elements are on point as well - I mean, THAT performance of Bullet, going into Zooropa, going into Streets...
  19. <script async defer src="//platform.instagram.com/en_US/embeds.js"></script> Pining for the fjords? That parrot is stone dead!
  20. Wow, that's one awesome setlist! I did think that if anything from NLOTH got into the setlist, it'd be either Magnificent or Crazy.
  21. <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Wonder if it'll be that rammed at The O2 in London...the Ziggo Dome has a capacity of 17,000, The O2 has a capacity of 20,000...I basically just answered my own question, didn't I?
  22. They switched them up some with the ones I saw. Hmmm. I do remember hearing that they threw in a bit of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam on the US leg.
