Love it. One of my favourite tracks from the album, hope they polish it up nicely for the live shows. I really liked the version they played on Later with Jools Holland. I'm hoping what they do on tour is similar.

Doesn't sound like he was having a freakout moment to me, you can't make out what he's saying but I think if he was freaking out he'd have told the rest of the band to stop playing. All this talk of hearing songs we haven't heard before/in a while is getting me very excited!

If you're as excited as I am (although I have to wait until October) clap your hands!

I get the impression that arena gigs by any band tend to only have one support act, while stadium/outdoor gigs often have two or three.

I'm going it alone on nights 1 and 6. My advice would be to arrive at The O2 early, have a massive lunch so your don't need supper (that's what I'm doing) and then join the queue.

But it's already an evening with U2. Personally I'm still quite keen on the idea of each city having its own local support act. It'd be good exposure for some bands we might not know of right now but could be a revelation.

Totally agree! I'd love the idea of the band picking a local up-and-coming band from each city to support them.

"Special shows are being planned for Dublin for the end of next year to benefit the U2-initiated Music Generation project and details will follow once they are finalised." I guess they just haven't fully sorted it yet.

Yeah same,,, hoping for 2 GA tickets in the general sale. I'm not sure how many fans will want to wait outside all day in November, its gonna be freezing then probably hot inside. I did hear the o2 opens and can possibly wait inside. Aye, the dome opens at 9am. My plan for night 1 is to get there around 11/12ish and grab myself a truly massive lunch so that I don't have to grab supper and be really far back in the line. Night 6 is on a Tuesday, so I'll probably have college, which means rushing home, dumping my stuff, getting a bus to the station, getting to the venue ASAP - doors will probably be open by the time I get there which means I'll grab something inside the arena - they've got grill bars by all the entrances!

I think it could make things interesting to have a different band every night. I was watching Killing Bono again and noted the scene from the Joshua Tree tour where Bono was on the phone to McCormick asking if his band wanted to support them at Croke Park because they wanted a local band to support at the gig. I think it'd be interesting if, for each city, they got a band that was local to the area to play as support act. I guess that's just wishful thinking though...

Just booked my second U2 gig - and it's only 9 days after the first one! Anyone else going to the November 3 gig?
