  1. This looks incredible. The Ground Beneath Her Feet eh? I'm pretty sure they only played that song a few times on the Elevation tour. Sweetest Thing as well! Surprised they don't play that one often, since it's one of their biggest hits. Also, Invisible > EBTTRT > Desire > California > Mysterious Ways sounds like a great way to open the gig! Plus, Bono's note hold at the end of the acoustic Every Breaking Wave going into Bullet the Blue Sky sounds like it'd be eery as hell. Loving it!
  2. Would you have a link by any chance? I couldn't remember hearing this so went looking for it, heres the link Yep, that's the one!
  3. I recently watched a great acoustic version of Please from the opening night of the Elevation tour in Miami. I'd love to hear that version played in London.
  4. Love it. One of my favourite tracks from the album, hope they polish it up nicely for the live shows. I really liked the version they played on Later with Jools Holland. I'm hoping what they do on tour is similar.
  5. The idea of a varying second half sounds good. If it means I get to hear Exit on the first night in London and Gone on the sixth, I'm fine with that!
  6. Doesn't sound like he was having a freakout moment to me, you can't make out what he's saying but I think if he was freaking out he'd have told the rest of the band to stop playing. All this talk of hearing songs we haven't heard before/in a while is getting me very excited!
  7. There's a video clip on YouTube of them rehearsing it, Bono sounds great. You can find it on this thread if you go back a page or two.
  8. My vote still goes to a small local band!
  9. Sorry Yardie, didn't realise. It's hard to tell when someone's being sarcastic on the internet!
  10. Ahh, now it's all starting to make sense MM. I give up. When they are announced - we will know.End of. Friendly reminder that The Daily Star is a tabloid. You can't rely on tabloids for information because so much of the time they're either wrong or making it up.
  11. Here's some more rehearsal clips, including a new one of Vertigo - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MkzmesbRS4 Beautiful Day - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWI4FyNq0T4 Invisible - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jy_QuLYTXs4
  12. If you're as excited as I am (although I have to wait until October) clap your hands!
  13. I get the impression that arena gigs by any band tend to only have one support act, while stadium/outdoor gigs often have two or three.
  14. I'm going it alone on nights 1 and 6. My advice would be to arrive at The O2 early, have a massive lunch so your don't need supper (that's what I'm doing) and then join the queue.
  15. But it's already an evening with U2. Personally I'm still quite keen on the idea of each city having its own local support act. It'd be good exposure for some bands we might not know of right now but could be a revelation.
  16. Totally agree! I'd love the idea of the band picking a local up-and-coming band from each city to support them.
  17. "Special shows are being planned for Dublin for the end of next year to benefit the U2-initiated Music Generation project and details will follow once they are finalised." I guess they just haven't fully sorted it yet.
  18. Can I just ask what was so bad about Glasvegas? I'm not particularly interested in their music, I'm just intrigued to know.
